About the Role
This role is a strategic and hands-on position for someone passionate about teaching, mentoring, and guiding learners at the intersection of product strategy, user experience, data-driven decision-making, and growth experimentation.
You will think like a product leader, communicate like an educator, and design learning experiences that translate real-world product challenges into actionable skills. Your work will empower learners to launch, scale, and optimize products effectively.
Timezone is West Africa Time (WAT) UTC +1 and Central Standard Time (CST) UTC -6
CST Timezone Requirements: 4-hour overlap is required once weekly from 1pm-5pm CST (7pm-11pm WAT)
Community sessions may include Saturday evenings or Sundays
Monthly performance and curriculum review every first Saturday of the month.
Position Overview
As a Product Management Instructor, you will design, deliver, and continuously improve learning experiences that equip students with the skills to succeed in real-world product roles.
You will mentor learners through practical exercises, case studies, and project-based learning, bridging theory and practice.
Collaborating with curriculum designers and product teams, you will align lessons with industry standards and measurable learner outcomes.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive, data-informed product management curriculum covering strategy, discovery, execution, growth, and analytics.
Design interactive workshops, hands-on exercises, case studies, and capstone projects that simulate real-world product challenges.
Incorporate modern product frameworks (e.g., AARRR, North Star Metrics, OKRS) and tools (Mixpanel, GA4, Amplitude, Jira, Figma).
Build and maintain a progressive learning roadmap that scales from fundamentals to advanced product management.
Learner Mentorship & Coaching:
Guide students through practical product exercises, including market research, roadmap creation, prioritization, and experimentation.
Conduct one-on-one mentoring sessions to provide actionable feedback on learner projects.
Foster a growth mindset, encouraging iteration, experimentation, and reflective learning.
Track learner progress using KPIs, project outcomes, and competency metrics.
Hands-On Product Simulations:
Lead simulated product sprints and experiments to reinforce learning objectives.
Coach learners on analyzing user behavior, funnel optimization, and growth experimentation.
Demonstrate real-world decision-making and trade-offs in product strategy, UX, and analytics.
Collaboration & Community Engagement:
Partner with curriculum and content teams to update courses with latest industry trends and tools. • Facilitate community sessions, group projects, and peer reviews to strengthen learner engagement.
Collaborate with alumni and industry partners to provide guest sessions, mentorship, and networking opportunities.
Assessment & Continuous Improvement:
Evaluate learner submissions, projects, and capstone deliverables with structured rubrics.
Use feedback loops, surveys, and performance metrics to improve course content and delivery.
Stay up-to-date with emerging product trends, tools, and frameworks to ensure learning remains relevant.
Metrics & Reporting:
Track and report on learner engagement, satisfaction, and outcomes.
Provide leadership with actionable insights for curriculum improvement and student success.
Maintain clear records of learner progress, cohort metrics, and teaching impact.
