Position Overview
As a Product Management Instructor, you will design, deliver, and continuously improve learning experiences that equip students with the skills to succeed in real-world product roles. You will mentor learners through practical exercises, case studies, and project-based learning, bridging theory and practice. Collaborating with curriculum designers and product teams, you will align lessons with industry standards and measurable learner outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Strategy, Design & Delivery
Define, prioritize, and own the curriculum product roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, learner outcomes, and market demands.
Design and deliver a comprehensive, data-driven product management curriculum covering core areas: strategy, discovery, execution, growth, leadership, and analytics.
Develop interactive workshops, live simulations, case studies, sprints, and capstone projects that mirror real-world product challenges faced by agile teams.
Integrate modern product management and agile frameworks such as AARRR, North Star Metrics, OKRs, Scrum, Kanban, and Lean Startup methodologies.
Incorporate industry-standard tools (Mixpanel, GA4, Amplitude, Jira, Trello, Figma, Miro, Confluence) into learning experiences to enhance practical skills.
Build and maintain a progressive learning roadmap that transitions learners from foundational principles to advanced strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with content creators, instructional designers, and subject matter experts to ensure that the learning experience remains cohesive, outcome-driven, and engaging.
Serve as the Product Manager of the learner journey, ensuring that every stage — from onboarding to capstone completion — delivers measurable value.
Provide structured guidance across project ideation, discovery, design, development, testing, and iteration.
Guide students through practical product exercises, including market research, roadmap creation, prioritization, and experimentation.
Mentor learners on soft skills and technical skills, including stakeholder management, teamwork, communication, and decision-making.
Facilitate hands-on product management activities, including market analysis, hypothesis validation, roadmap creation, prioritization exercises, and product experimentation.
Conduct individual and group mentoring sessions to provide personalized, data-driven feedback on learner projects, ensuring clarity, quality, and growth.
Promote a growth mindset among learners, emphasizing iterative improvement, experimentation, resilience, and reflective practice.
Use key performance indicators (KPIs), learning analytics, and project-based assessments to monitor learner progress and performance.
Provide regular reports on learner engagement, satisfaction, skill acquisition, and career outcomes to leadership and program stakeholders.
Hands-On Learning & Simulations
Lead simulated product sprints and experiments to reinforce learning objectives.
Coach learners on analyzing user behavior, funnel optimization, and growth experimentation.
Demonstrate real-world decision-making and trade-offs in product strategy, UX, and analytics.
Collaboration & Community Engagement
Partner with curriculum and content teams to update courses with latest industry trends and tools.
Facilitate community sessions, group projects, and peer reviews to strengthen learner engagement.
Collaborate with alumni and industry partners to provide guest sessions, mentorship, and networking opportunities.
Assessment, Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
Define and apply structured evaluation rubrics to assess learner assignments, projects, and capstone deliverables consistently.
Use feedback loops, learner surveys, Net Promoter Scores (NPS), and retrospective sessions to identify improvement areas and enhance curriculum effectiveness.
Conduct data-driven retrospectives after each cohort or sprint cycle to identify what worked, what didn’t, and how to iterate for better outcomes.
Stay ahead of emerging trends in product management, technology, analytics, and agile frameworks, ensuring the curriculum remains current and competitive.
Translate performance data and learner feedback into actionable backlog items and prioritized curriculum enhancements.
Metrics & Reporting
Track and report on learner engagement, satisfaction, and outcomes.
Provide leadership with actionable insights for curriculum improvement and student success.
Maintain clear records of learner progress, cohort metrics, and teaching impact.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
The department collaborates closely with:
Product & Curriculum Design Team (for course development and innovation).
Marketing & Admissions (to align academic offerings with market needs).
Student Success and Career Services (to connect learning outcomes with career pathways and future proof careers).

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Proven experience in product management - strategy and execution.
Effective communication skills and the ability to convey product concepts clearly.

Compensation
N100,000 - N250,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
