We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: French Tutor

Location: Akure, Ondo
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Lesson planning and delivery: Plan and prepare lessons that follow the curriculum and meet the educational needs of students. This includes adapting teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and proficiency levels.
• Student assessment: Assess, monitor, and record student progress through various evaluations, assignments, and homework. Provide constructive and timely feedback to help students improve.
• Fostering student development: Set high expectations, motivate students, and promote their overall progress and well-being.
• Cultural education:Teach the cultural aspects of French-speaking regions to provide a well-rounded understanding of the language and its associated cultures.
• Classroom management: Maintain a positive and engaging learning environment. Teachers are responsible for managing the classroom and handling situations that arise with students.
• Communication and collaboration: Communicate with students, parents, and other educators. This can involve attending parent-teacher conferences and collaborating with colleagues on curriculum development.
• Professional development: Stay current with teaching methodologies and educational trends by participating in professional development opportunities.

Key skills and qualifications

• Educational background: A bachelor's degree in French or Education is often required, and many positions demand a teaching license or certification.
• 2 - 10 years experience.
• Language proficiency: Mastery of the French language is essential.
• Teaching skills: The ability to develop engaging lesson plans, provide clear instruction, and effectively assess student performance is crucial.
• Interpersonal skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills are necessary for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Personal attributes: Patience, adaptability, and a caring attitude are important for catering to diverse student needs and situations.
