This role is a strategic and hands-on teaching position for someone passionate about mentoring and guiding learners in the fields of Agile project management, Waterfall delivery, Disciplined Agile (DA), Scrum, Kanban, Lean, and hybrid project approaches.

Position Overview
As an Agile Project Manager Instructor, you will design, deliver, and continuously refine project management learning programs that prepare students for success in both Agile and traditional delivery models. You will mentor learners through practical simulations, project-based learning, and case studies, bridging theory with hands-on practice. Working closely with curriculum designers and industry professionals, you will ensure lessons are aligned with Agile best practices, Waterfall methodologies, Disciplined Agile (DA), certifications, and measurable learner outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Strategy, Design & Delivery
Develop and maintain a comprehensive project management curriculum covering Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, Waterfall, and Disciplined Agile (DA).
Design interactive workshops, sprint simulations, case studies, and capstone projects reflecting real-world Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project challenges.
Incorporate industry-standard tools such as Jira, Trello, Asana, Microsoft Project, Confluence, and Miro.
Build a progressive learning pathway from foundational project management principles to advanced Agile and hybrid delivery practices.
Learner Mentorship, Work Experience & Career Coaching
Guide students through Agile ceremonies, backlog management, sprint planning, retrospectives, stakeholder communication, and Waterfall project lifecycles.
Conduct one-on-one mentoring sessions with constructive feedback on learner assignments, simulations, and project portfolios.
Encourage a growth mindset, teaching learners to adapt, iterate, and select the best delivery approach (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) for a given context.
Track learner progress using KPIs, project outcomes, and competency-based assessments.
Hands-On Learning & Simulations
Lead Agile sprints, Waterfall planning sessions, and Disciplined Agile case studies to reinforce learning outcomes.
Coach learners on value delivery, project governance, stakeholder engagement, and adaptability across methodologies.
Demonstrate real-world trade-offs between predictive (Waterfall) and adaptive (Agile/DA) approaches.
Collaboration, Community & Industry Engagement
Partner with curriculum and program teams to keep content aligned with industry standards, certifications (PMP, PMI-ACP, DA, CSM), and evolving practices.
Facilitate group projects, peer reviews, and community sessions to deepen learner engagement.
Collaborate with industry professionals and alumni for guest lectures, mentoring, and networking opportunities.
Assessment, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Evaluate student projects and capstone deliverables with structured rubrics and clear feedback.
Use learner feedback, surveys, and analytics to continuously improve course content and delivery.
Stay up-to-date with emerging frameworks (Agile, DA, SAFe) and project management trends.
Monitor and report on learner engagement, satisfaction, and outcomes.
Provide insights to leadership for curriculum enhancement and student success.
Maintain accurate records of learner performance, progress, and teaching impact.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Qualifications
Proven experience as a Project Manager or in a similar leadership role.
In-depth knowledge of project management frameworks (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, and ideally Disciplined Agile).
Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana, Microsoft Project, Confluence).
PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum Master certification is a strong plus.
Strong organisational, communication, and facilitation skills.
Prior teaching, coaching, or mentoring experience is an added advantage.
Compensation
N100,000 - N250,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
