About the Role
This is a strategic and hands-on teaching position for an experienced data professional passionate about mentoring, guiding, and inspiring learners in the fields of data analytics, business intelligence, and data-driven decision-making.

Position Overview
As a Data Analytics Instructor, you will design, deliver, and continuously evolve data education programs that bridge the gap between classroom learning and professional work experience.
You’ll mentor learners through real-world data projects, case studies, and simulations, ensuring they gain both technical competence and strategic business thinking. Working with curriculum and program teams, you will align course content with global industry standards, in-demand tools, and measurable learner outcomes.
You will also serve as a mentor in our Work Experience and Rotational Career Immersion Programs, where learners:
Participate in real-world projects that simulate professional data challenges.
Gain end-to-end project delivery experience using industry-standard tools.
Build soft and technical skills required for workplace success.
Receive structured mentorship and career readiness coaching for interviews, portfolio development, and job placement.

Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Strategy, Design & Delivery
Own and deliver a comprehensive, data analytics, and business intelligence curriculum covering:
Data collection, cleaning, and transformation
Data visualization, dashboards, and reporting
Business intelligence strategy, KPIs, and decision support
Predictive and prescriptive analytics
Data-driven business strategy and decision-making
Develop interactive workshops, dashboards, simulations, and case studies that replicate real-world BI challenges and business scenarios.
Integrate industry-standard BI and analytics tools, including:
Analytics & Visualization: Power BI, Tableau, Excel, Google Analytics 4
Data Management & SQL: SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn)
Cloud & Workflow Tools: Google Sheets, Notion, Jupyter, GitHub
BI Platforms & Reporting: Looker Studio, Microsoft BI Suite, HubSpot reporting
Create a progressive learning roadmap, from fundamentals (data literacy, descriptive analytics) to advanced topics (predictive modeling, prescriptive insights, and dashboard automation).
Learner Mentorship, Work Experience & Career Coaching
Serve as a mentor in our Work Experience and Career Immersion Programs, guiding learners as they plan, execute, and optimize real data analytics projects.
Provide structured coaching on data analytics.
Mentor learners on both technical skills and soft skills (e.g., presentation, communication, collaboration).
Conduct career readiness workshops focused on portfolio creation, resume optimization, LinkedIn branding, and interview preparation.
Support learners in building portfolio-worthy data analytics projects, case studies, and campaign reports that demonstrate measurable results.
Provide individualized feedback and performance tracking, helping learners set goals and measure improvement.
Hands-On Learning & Simulations
Lead data hackathons, sprint challenges, and simulations to reinforce theory with practice.
Coach learners on data storytelling, visualization best practices, and insight communication for business contexts.
Lead BI dashboard projects, analytics sprints, and scenario simulations to reinforce practical learning.
Demonstrate real-world decision-making trade-offs in areas like accuracy, efficiency, and strategic reporting.
Collaboration, Community & Industry Engagement
Partner with curriculum, content, and product teams to keep learning material up-to-date with evolving tools and trends.
Facilitate group projects, peer reviews, and live community sessions to boost collaboration and engagement.
Facilitate cross-functional BI and analytics projects, collaborating with marketing, product, and finance teams.
Collaborate with industry experts, alumni, and mentors to provide guest lectures, mentorship opportunities, and professional networking.
Assessment, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Evaluate student submissions and capstone deliverables using structured rubrics and competency assessments.
Use analytics, surveys, and feedback loops to continuously enhance content, tools, and teaching methods.
Conduct data-driven retrospectives for each cohort to assess engagement, campaign performance, and job outcomes.
Collaborate with leadership to generate reports on learner performance, placement rates, and program ROI.
Evaluate learner BI dashboards, analytics reports, and strategic recommendations using structured rubrics.
Stay up-to-date with emerging analytics tools, trends, and frameworks to maintain program excellence.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
The department collaborates closely with:
Product & Curriculum Design Team (for course development and innovation).
Marketing & Admissions (to align academic offerings with market needs).

Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or related roles.
Practical experience with Data analytics tools, BI tools, dashboarding, and business reporting.
Prior teaching, mentoring, or coaching experience (bootcamps, training schools, or online instruction preferred).
Proficiency in data analytics tools and programming languages (Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Python).
Strong ability to simplify technical topics and communicate effectively with diverse learners.
Experience with LMS/CMS platforms and virtual teaching tools.
Strong organization, empathy, and communication skills.
Willingness to share real-world industry experience and personal insights.
Self-driven, disciplined, and able to work autonomously in a remote setup.
Certifications in Data Analytics is a plus
Compensation
N100,000 - N250,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
