About the Role
This role is a strategic and hands-on teaching position for someone passionate about mentoring and guiding learners in the fields of data analysis, business intelligence, and data-driven decision-making.
You will think like a data professional, communicate like an educator, and design learning experiences that translate real-world data challenges into actionable skills.
Your work will empower learners to analyze, interpret, and apply data insights that drive business success.
Timezone is West Africa Time (WAT) UTC +1 and Central Standard Time (CST) UTC -6
CST Timezone Requirements: 4-hour overlap is required once weekly from 1pm-5pm CST (7pm-11pm WAT)
Community sessions may include Saturday evenings or Sundays
Monthly performance review every first Saturday of the month.
Class Schedule is 9am to 12pm Saturday, 3pm to 6pm Saturday and 6pm to 9pm Sunday's
Position Overview
As a Digital Marketing Instructor, you will design, deliver, and continuously improve learning experiences that equip students with the skills to succeed in real-world product roles.
You will mentor learners through practical exercises, case studies, and project-based learning, bridging theory and practice.
Collaborating with curriculum designers and product teams, you will align lessons with industry standards and measurable learner outcomes.
Develop and deliver structured digital marketing lessons and workshops that cover key concepts, including SEO, social media marketing, content marketing, email marketing, and paid advertising.
Keep the curriculum up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices.
Design interactive workshops, hands-on exercises, case studies, and capstone projects that simulate real-world digital marketing challenges.
Build and maintain a progressive learning roadmap that scales from fundamentals to advanced digital marketing.
Learner Mentorship & Coaching:
Serve as a mentor, inspiring young females to consider careers in digital marketing and related fields.
Share insights into opportunities in the digital marketing industry.
Conduct one-on-one mentoring sessions to provide actionable feedback on learner projects.
Foster a growth mindset, encouraging iteration, experimentation, and reflective learning.
Track learner progress using KPIs, project outcomes, and competency metrics.
Hands-On Learning & Simulations:
Teach hands-on digital marketing skills: SEO, social media, Google Ads, email marketing, content creation, and analytics.
Deliver engaging lectures, real-world campaigns, and marketing workshops.
Mentor students on portfolio development, job readiness, and certifications (Google, Meta, HubSpot).
Stay current with trends in digital ads, Al tools, influencer marketing, and automation.
Create and oversee practical projects and activities that give
students hands-on experience in planning and executing digital marketing campaigns.
Encourage students to apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios.
Proficiency in SEO tools, Google Ads, Meta Business Suite,
Mailchimp, Canva, and analytics platforms.
Proficiency in Creative Designs and Creative Media A/B Testing
Strong presentation, mentoring, and project-based teaching skills.
Certifications (Google, Meta, HubSpot) are a plus.
Collaboration & Community Engagement:
Partner with curriculum and content teams to update courses with latest industry trends and tools.
Facilitate community sessions, group projects, and peer reviews to strengthen learner engagement.
Collaborate with alumni and industry partners to provide guest sessions, mentorship, and networking opportunities.
Assessment & Continuous Improvement:
Evaluate learner submissions, projects, and capstone deliverables with structured rubrics.
Use feedback loops, surveys, and performance metrics to improve course content and delivery.
Stay up-to-date with emerging product trends, tools, and frameworks to ensure learning remains relevant.
Metrics & Reporting:
Track and report on learner engagement, satisfaction, and outcomes.
Provide leadership with actionable insights for curriculum improvement and student success.
Maintain clear records of learner progress, cohort metrics, and teaching impact.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience in digital marketing, including areas such as SEO, social media marketing, content marketing, email marketing, and online advertising.
Effective communication skills and the ability to convey digital marketing concepts clearly.
A passion for educating and inspiring young females to pursue careers in technology and digital marketing.
Patience, adaptability, and the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
Strong organisational skills and a creative approach to digital marketing education.
