Job Purpose
The Team Lead, IOC/NOC Markets plays a pivotal role in managing and expanding strategic client relationships within the International and National Oil Company (IOC/NOC) segment. Acting as the primary point of contact between key clients and the Supply Chain Unit, this role ensures a deep understanding of client needs, delivers tailored solutions, and drives customer satisfaction at every touchpoint.
This individual is responsible for identifying and pursuing opportunities to enhance service offerings through upselling, cross-selling, and new business development. By leveraging in-depth industry knowledge and market intelligence, the Team Lead proactively tracks market trends, monitors competitor activity, and positions the organization as a trusted partner in the energy and oil & gas sectors
Responsibilities
Assists with the implementation of B2B, market development and client/customer engagement strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the continued expansion, commercial growth and profitability of the business operations of Supply Chain Management Services
Identifies, builds, and nurtures strategic relationships with existing and prospective B2B and corporate clients to ensure consistent, profitable growth in, and market acceptance of supply chain management solutions and logistics services, with focus on boosting demand, revenues and profits of each offering.
Analyses market trends and competitors’ activities to guide the formulation of appropriate market response and client engagement strategies that will enhance the competitive position and growth performance of Hy-Group’s supply chain management solutions and logistics services
Acts as the principal point of contact and trusted advisor for key IOC/NOC clients, ensuring the highest levels of service delivery, relationship management, and overall customer satisfaction
Manages and grows client relationships within the EPCI/Genco markets, acting as the primary liaison between the Supply Chain Unit and clients. Builds and nurtures trust with key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment with client goals. Regularly conducts check-ins with key clients to assess satisfaction and anticipate needs.
Cultivates a deep and comprehensive understanding of each client’s operations, needs, and business environment in order to provide customized solutions that align with their strategic objectives
Builds and nurtures long-term client partnerships through consistent communication, transparency, and value-driven engagement that fosters mutual growth and loyalty
Identifies, develops, and capitalizes on opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and business expansion within existing accounts, contributing to the overall revenue growth of the company
Collaborates closely with the commercial, sales, and marketing teams to craft compelling proposals, tailored presentations, and strategic pitches that resonate with client needs
Conducts continuous market research and monitors industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to support informed decision-making and positioning of the company’s offerings.
Works in tandem with internal departments such as supply chain, finance, operations, and technical teams to ensure smooth execution of client projects, timely deliveries, and resolution of operational challenges.
Maintains a proactive and hands-on approach in managing all stages of client orders, from initiation to delivery, while ensuring deadlines are consistently met and service standards are exceeded
Leads initiatives to streamline and enhance internal processes related to client account management in order to increase operational efficiency and service quality
Provides mentorship, coaching, and professional development to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high- performance work culture that supports career progression
Delegates responsibilities effectively while maintaining oversight to ensure high standards of execution, accountability, and client satisfaction.

Delivers strategic recommendations and feedback to the Unit Head and senior leadership based on client insights and data analytics
Maintains accurate, complete, and up-to-date documentation of all client interactions, contracts, service level agreements, and relevant transactions in accordance with company policy.
Ensures full compliance with all regulatory, industry, and internal standards across all client-facing and account management activities.
Plays a proactive role in refining the company’s service portfolio by sharing client feedback, identifying innovation opportunities, and contributing to product/service development.
Participates in and supports company-wide initiatives and strategic projects that drive business growth, operational excellence, and innovation within the oil and gas industry
Job Specification
A Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, and Business Administration.
Professional certifications such as CIPS or CPSM are an advantage.
Minimum of 7 years extensive experience in Procurement (preferably in the oil and gas or industrial sector).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing international supply chains and working with global suppliers
Proven experience in negotiating local and international contracts and managing supplier relationships.
