Job Title: Chief Financial Officer
Locations: Abuja (FCT), and Kaduna (with potential travel to regional sites)

Reports To: Managing Director / Board of Directors.
Role Summary
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the company’s finance function as it enters a new phase of growth and capital expansion.
The CFO will be responsible for strengthening financial control, knowledge of financial modelling, driving transparency in reporting, optimizing working capital, and supporting the company’s fundraising and investor relations efforts.
This is a critical leadership role that requires both operational depth and strategic foresight, ideal for a finance leader experienced in manufacturing or FMCG businesses navigating scale-up, expansion, or investment rounds.
Develop and implement financial strategies that align with company’s growth objectives and capital expansion plans.
Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning processes.
Advise management and the Board on capital structure, risk management, and funding options.
Financial Control & Reporting:
Strengthen internal control systems, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Oversee timely preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (IFRS-compliant).
Lead financial consolidation across subsidiaries, cost centers, and product lines.
Implement standardized financial policies, accounting manuals, and control frameworks.
Treasury, Cashflow, and Working Capital Management:
Manage cashflow and liquidity to support operations and expansion.
Establish strong treasury controls for payables, receivables, and FX exposure.
Drive improvements in inventory management, procurement efficiency, and cost optimization.
Fundraising & Investor Relations:
Lead the financial due diligence and data room preparation for equity and debt fundraising.
Support management in negotiations with investors, banks, and financial institutions.
Develop investor materials (financial models, forecasts, sensitivity analyses, and dashboards).
Maintain transparent reporting relationships with lenders and investors.
Risk Management & Governance:
Establish and monitor key risk indicators and compliance protocols.
Ensure tax compliance and interface effectively with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulators.
Design and oversee an enterprise risk management framework, including insurance and asset protection.
Leadership & Team Development:
Build and mentor a high-performing finance team capable of delivering strategic and operational excellence.
Promote a culture of accountability, financial discipline, and performance across departments.
Educational & Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
MBA or MSc in Finance (preferred).
Professional qualification: ICAN, ACCA, or CPA (mandatory).
Additional certification (e.g., CFA, CMA, or Corporate Finance certification) is an advantage.
Key Experience Required:
Minimum 10–15 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (Finance Director, Head of Finance, or CFO).
Proven track record in manufacturing, FMCG, or industrial production sectors.
Strong experience in financial modeling, fundraising, and investor relations (equity and debt).
Demonstrated ability to implement ERP/accounting systems and improve reporting structures.
Experience managing multi-entity or multi-country financial operations is an added advantage.
Sound understanding of IFRS, Nigerian tax laws, CAMA, and regulatory compliance.

Communication & Influence: Excellent presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Technology Savvy: Proficiency with ERPs (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks Enterprise, NetSuite) and Excel-based analytical tools.
Integrity and Governance: High ethical standards, transparency, and commitment to accountability.
Performance Metrics:
Accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
Improvement in internal control effectiveness and audit outcomes.
Successful completion of fundraising milestones.
Working capital cycle improvement.
Reduction in finance-related compliance or tax penalties.
