Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Logistics Manager to oversee logistics, warehousing, and distribution operations at our plant.
This individual will ensure operational excellence, optimal stock movement, and customer satisfaction through efficient supply chain coordination.
This role reports to the Head of Supply Chain.
Responsibilities
The candidate will have the following duties and responsibilities:
Plan, manage, and coordinate all logistics and warehousing operations to meet customer needs efficiently.
Lead and optimize the full order cycle, ensuring accurate records of finished goods across all warehouse locations.
Oversee operational planning, including supply load management, inventory control, stock losses, and on-time delivery.
Ensure all sales are delivered promptly within the monthly accounting period.
Maintain accurate data and performance metrics for warehouse and logistics operations to support management decisions.
Identify operational gaps, recommend, and implement improvements.
Drive best-in-class warehouse management practices to minimize inventory losses.
Manage and evaluate third-party logistics service providers, ensuring full compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Monitor ERP systems (Acumatica) and warehouse processes daily to ensure data accuracy and operational efficiency.
Track stock levels, delivery timelines, transportation costs, and service quality.
Lead, coach, and develop warehouse and logistics teams to ensure optimal performance and resource utilization.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and HSE requirements.
Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, finance, admin, and IT teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
Promptly address and resolve logistics and warehousing issues as they arise.
Candidate will be required to visit other Warehouse locations.
Qualification & Experience
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Logistics, Transportation, Business, or related field.
Professional certification in logistics & supply chain management would be an added advantage
Minimum of 8 years in Logistics & Supply chain operations in a food manufacturing environment
Demonstrate at least 3 years of Supervisory/Managerial role/level
In-depth knowledge of the Warehousing and Logistics processes/Supply Chain Management in the FMCG Industry.
