Job Title: Clinical Business Development Associate
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time / Contract (This is a hybrid role, 3 days onsite and 2 days remote)
Reports to: Managing Partner, PYPLINE
Position Summary
As a Clinical Business Development Associate, you will play a key role in expanding PYPLINE’s sponsor and site network.
You will learn toidentify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities, while maintaining strong relationships with existing clients (Sponsors, CROs, and research sites).
You’ll support the business development leadin prospecting, feasibility management, and partner engagement — ultimately helping our sites win more clinical trial opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Sponsor & CRO Outreach:
Identify and engage Sponsors, CROs, and biopharma companies using platforms such as ClinicalTrials.gov, LinkedIn, and Inato.
Conduct outreach campaigns to introduce PYPLINE’s site network and capabilities.
Maintain a pipeline of qualified leads and support follow-up communications.
Feasibility & Study Matching:
Review and complete site feasibility questionnaires.
Match studies with appropriate sites based on therapeutic focus, patient access, and infrastructure.
Maintain accurate feasibility and site capability data in CRM.
Site Relationship Management:
Coordinate communication between sites and Sponsors/CROs.
Support sites in submitting required documentation (CVs, regulatory, etc.).
Gather site performance feedback and maintain partner satisfaction reports.
Business Operations Support:
Assist with proposal writing, presentations, and partnership reports.
Track business development metrics and prepare monthly progress summaries.
Collaborate with internal teams on marketing materials, dashboards, and site profiles.
Performance Metrics
Number of new Sponsor/CRO contacts engaged per month.
Number of feasibility requests received/submitted.
Number of study opportunities generated.
Site satisfaction and retention rate.
Contribution to awarded studies.
Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Business, or Healthcare Management (or equivalent experience).
Additional certification in Clinical Research (ACRP, SOCRA, etc.)is a plus but not cumpulsory.
Candidate must posses a well functioning laptop.
Experience:
0 - 1 year of experience in business development, clinical research coordination, or site management.
Familiarity with CRO operations, clinical trial lifecycle, and site feasibility.
Experience using Linkedin, Email Finder tools or any other cold email marketing tool.
Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and CRM management skills.
Confident in conducting outreach and managing professional correspondence.
Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong follow-through.
Growth Path:
High-performing associates can advance to Business Development Manager or Strategic Partnerships Lead, with expanded responsibilities across Sponsor relations, site network management, and regional development.
Renumeration
N100,000 - N120,000 per month.
