Carlson is a four-star hotel located inside Osborne Phase 2 with 22 rooms, swimming and a gym.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Description
Food preparation and cooking:

• Prepare ingredients: Measure, weigh, chop, and otherwise prepare ingredients according to recipes.
• Cook food: Use various methods like grilling, baking, frying, and boiling to cook dishes.
• Follow recipes: Adhere to established recipes to ensure consistency and quality.
• Plating and presentation: Arrange and garnish the final dish to meet the hotel's standards for appearance.
• Manage special requests: Accommodate guests with allergies or dietary restrictions as needed.

Kitchen management and organization:

• Set up workstations: Prepare and organize stations with necessary ingredients and equipment before cooking begins.
• Clean and sanitize: Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, equipment, and kitchen throughout and after shifts.
• Follow safety standards: Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Store food: Properly store ingredients and leftovers at correct temperatures and follow established rotation procedures.
• Monitor stock:Track inventory levels, check the quality of fresh ingredients, and assist in placing orders.

Quality and customer satisfaction:

• Ensure quality: Check the quality of ingredients and the final products to ensure they meet high standards.
• Contribute to menu development: May assist in developing daily, holiday, and theme menus with supervisors.
• Ensure customer satisfaction: Ensure food is prepared to meet customer expectations and sometimes interact with guests to get feedback.
• Coordinate with staff: Liaise with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and hot food service.

Experience

• Interested candidates should possess relevant qualifications with 3 years experience.
