Godiya Cherished Care for Humanitarian Response Initiative (GCCHRI) is a non-profit and a non-governmental organization founded in 2022 by a group of young researchers. Our core mission is to elevate community health standards through a multifaceted approach encompassing research, advocacy, health promotion and education, community development, capacity building, program evaluation, impact assessments, needs analysis, baseline/midline/endline surveys, systems strengthening, and targeted service delivery. Our focus extends particularly to the vulnerable and marginalized populations in Nigeria and beyond.

Job Title: Procurement Intern
Location: Borno
Job Summary
The Procurement Intern will support the procurement team in sourcing, purchasing, and contract management.
The intern will gain hands-on experience in procurement processes, contributing to the organization's operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with procurement processes, including tendering and bidding
Support contract management and vendor selection
Maintain procurement records and databases
Conduct market research and supplier identification
Help with purchase order processing and invoicing
Support procurement reporting and compliance
Assist with inventory management and stock control
Carryout all documents photocopying, scanning, archiving procurement files &reception of goods.
Proper filing of all procurement documents.
Sending a request for feedback regarding suppliers’ performance & update supplier files.
Ensuring that all Supplies, services, and equipment required are delivered in time
Expedite suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services and address any delays or issues.
Maintain and update the asset inventory, ensuring accurate record-keeping for office equipment and supplies.
Ensure proper documentation and filling of logistics documents for easy retrieval and audit readiness.
Assist in data entry and updating databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
Follow-up internally between the Procurement and Logistics department and the Finance department on procurement-related transactions.
Support in the asset disposal process in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
Following the guidance of the procurement staff, to ensure that all fields’ goods, to be dispatched along with all the needed documentation (Waybill).
Collaborate with suppliers to build and maintain good working relationships.
Job Requirements
ND / Diploma or Recent graduate in Supply Chain Management, Economics and Business Administration.
Basic understanding of operations and logistics management.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work a team.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Interested in working in the NGO sector.
Fluency in English, Hausa and Kanuri is required.
