A well established Freight Forwarder with international connection is recruiting suitable candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Shipping Officer 

Location: Nigeria

Job Summary

• We require the service of a Shipping Officer that can handle shipment from Customs Long room to client door steps Long room to client door step.

Responsibilities

• Handle all import/export shipping documentation (Bill of Lading. Form M, SONCAP, etc.).
• Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and clearing agents for smooth cargo movement.
• Ensure compliance with Customs, NAFDAC, and SON regulations. Track and monitor shipments from origin to destination.
• Negotiate freight rates and control shipping costs. Prepare and submit shipment reports to management.
• Supervise loading/unloading operations and ensure cargo safety.

Requirements

• Minimum of HND/B.Sc Degree in Logistics, Transport Management, or a related field.
• 3-5 years experience in shipping or freight forwarding.
• Good knowledge of import/export procedures and documentation.
• Strong communication, organization, and negotiation skills.
