About the Role

• The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for IT-related issues, providing prompt support, troubleshooting, and escalation where necessary.

Job Summary

• The Service Desk Engineer will receive, log, and resolve user incidents and service requests, ensuring timely support delivery and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance via phone, email or service desk portal.
• Log, categorize and prioritize incidents and service requests using a service management system.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Level One and Level Two support issues related to applications, hardware, software and network connectivity.
• Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate technical teams and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
• Provide remote or on-site support to users when necessary.
• Track incidents to ensure timely closure and update users on progress.
• Maintain and update user support documentation, knowledge base articles and FAQs.
• Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and IT support processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 5 - 7 years experience in IT Support, Service Desk or Technical Support role.
• Hands-on experience with service desk tools such as Jira, Zendesk or ServiceNow.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, network connectivity and software applications.
• Knowledge of ITIL best practices, incident management and request fulfillment processes.
• Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple support tickets.
• Attention to detail and a high level of professionalism.

Salary
N300,000 - N500,000 / Month.
