Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Provide technical assistance to states teams and health facilities to ensure provision and documentation of post sexual violence care in line with the minimum package
Facilitate “needs based” capacity building activities for health care and service providers both at facility and community levels on first line support and the implementation of clinical pathway for treatment of survivors of sexual violence
Work with health facilities and CBOs to establish and strengthen referral mechanisms and linkages between clinical and non-clinical post sexual violence service provision.
Establish and maintain data collection systems to assess the impact of sexual violence prevention initiatives.
Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of sexual violence data and program performance, sharing reports on progress monthly
Support quarterly assessment of post-sexual violence services in supported facilities using the quality assurance tool and provide technical assistance to ensure quality improvement
Provide regular supportive supervision to supported health facilities/CBOs to ensure the achievement of expected results
Foster partnerships with government stakeholders for sustainability of sexual violence prevention interventions and safe placements for survivors
Create and disseminate tools, frameworks and resources to support sexual violence prevention integration into existing HIV prevention, care and treatment services across supported facilities and communities
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
University degree (or higher) in Social Sciences (i.e. Sociology, Psychology), Public Health, Child Health, International Development, or in an area relevant to sexual violence, Health, and HIV/AIDs
At least 4 years’ post NYSC work experience including at least 3-4 years implementing sexual violence prevention interventions in a similar setting
Experience in implementing prevention of sexual violence services in the context of HIV
Demonstrated ability to ensure integration of sexual violence in project design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of HIV interventions
Evidence of capacity to support implementation of sexual violence interventions including the administration of Post Exposure Prophylaxis for HIV
Excellent conceptual, analytical, writing and oral communication and facilitation skills
Ability to navigate culturally sensitive terrain and maintain constructive relationships with a diverse set of key stakeholders.
