Architect and execute a multi-year product vision and strategic roadmap for the FirstOnline platform, directly contributing to the bank’s market leadership in digital business banking.
Assume commercial ownership for the platform, with a mandate to build upon its current contribution to the department’s N13 billion in annual gross revenue.
Conduct sophisticated market intelligence and competitive analysis to identify and capitalize on emerging trends, customer needs, and new commercialization opportunities for retail and SME customers.
SME Value Proposition & Market Expansion:
Lead the strategic initiative to fundamentally revamp the FirstOnline platform for business users, establishing it as the preferred digital banking solution for the SME segment.
Conceptualize, develop, and launch a suite of innovative, high-value propositions and financial tools specifically designed to meet the complex needs of SMEs.
Team Leadership & Talent Development:
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of FirstOnline Product Managers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.
Manage the end-to-end product development lifecycle, ensuring rigorous execution from ideation and requirements definition to launch and post-launch performance analysis.
Data-Driven User Experience & Optimization:
Institutionalize a data-driven, user-centric culture to relentlessly optimize the platform’s usability, functionality, and end-to-end customer journey.
Leverage advanced data analytics and direct user feedback to make informed, high-impact decisions on platform enhancements and feature prioritization.
Stakeholder Management & Influence:
Articulate and champion the product vision, strategy, progress, and performance metrics to executive leadership and key stakeholders across the bank.
Forge powerful collaborative partnerships with Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and other cross-functional teams to guarantee flawless product releases and impactful go-to-market execution.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
SME Active User Growth: Material growth in Monthly Active Users (MAU), with a primary focus on acquiring and retaining users in the high-value SME segment.
Revenue Growth: Significant year-over-year increase in gross revenue generated through the platform’s transaction fees, flat, and new service monetization.
SME Proposition Adoption: High rate of adoption and sustained engagement with new features and services targeted at SMEs.
Customer Satisfaction (NPS): Achieve and maintain a top-tier Net Promoter Score for the FirstOnline platform among both retail and business users.
Transaction Volume & Value: Demonstrable growth in the volume and value of transactions initiated via the web platform.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or a related discipline.
A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in digital product management, with a proven track record of managing and scaling complex, web-based financial platforms for business users.
Demonstrated experience in leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing product management teams.
Deep expertise in online banking trends, digital security protocols, and the specific financial needs and pain points of the SME market.
Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, with experience presenting business cases to executive leadership.
