Job Summary

• The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations, performance, and profitability of the hotel.
• This role requires a dynamic and experienced hospitality professional with strong leadership, financial, and operational management skills.
• The ideal candidate will ensure the hotel delivers an exceptional guest experience while meeting business goals and maintaining brand standards.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership:

• Provide strategic direction for the hotel’s daily operations, ensuring all departments (front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, maintenance, etc.) function efficiently.
• Develop and implement operational plans to improve service delivery and overall guest satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, hospitality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Financial Management:

• Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Monitor revenue streams and expenses to achieve profitability and cost-efficiency targets.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial performance, including revenue generation, cost control, and operational efficiency.

Business Development & Marketing:

• Drive business growth through innovative marketing, partnerships, and promotional strategies.
• Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and event planners.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.

Guest Experience Management:

• Ensure the highest standards of customer service and hospitality are consistently delivered.
• Oversee guest feedback systems and ensure prompt resolution of complaints.
• Promote a customer-focused culture throughout the hotel.

Human Resource & Team Development:

• Lead, motivate, and manage all hotel staff to achieve operational excellence.
• Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management processes.
• Create a positive work environment that fosters teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Compliance & Quality Assurance:

• Ensure all departments adhere to safety, health, and hygiene standards.
• Regularly inspect facilities and operations to ensure service quality and brand consistency.
• Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) across departments.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in hotel or hospitality management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Strong financial management skills, with experience handling budgets and profit & loss (P&L) statements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in hotel management software (PMS, Opera, or similar systems) preferred.
• Strong organizational and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by business operations.

Compensation & Benefits

• Monthly Salary: N250,000 - N300,000 (based on experience and qualifications)
• Performance-Based Incentives available
