Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Head to lead the Peanut Butter category across Nigeria.
• The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in General Trade sales and a proven track record of driving business growth in the FMCG sector, preferably from peanut butter, margarine, mayonnaise or similar food spread categories.
• The incumbent will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing teams across Nigeria and achieving aggressive revenue and distribution targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve category growth and profitability objectives.
• Lead, motivate and manage a team of first-line managers and foot soldiers across the regions.
• Drive General Trade (GT) expansion through effective distributor management, retail penetration, and market activation initiatives.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities to increase market share and strengthen brand presence.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement promotional campaigns and sales initiatives.
• Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to promote the products.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, and Finance teams to ensure seamless business operations.
• Plan and monitor sales budgets, incentive schemes, and performance metrics for the sales team.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and credit control measures.
• Regularly report performance updates and market feedback to senior management.

Requirements
Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in hardcore General Trade sales within the FMCG industry.
• Proven experience handling food spread products (peanut butter, margarine, mayonnaise, etc.) is highly desirable.
• Experience in managing the sales teams as a first-line or second-line leader.
• Strong understanding of distribution networks, channel management, and retail operations.

Salary
N350,000 - N400 / month.
