We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Procurement and Logistics Intern
Location: Borno
Employment Type: Full Time
Job Purpose
The Logistics and Procurement Intern will assist in the day-to-day logistics and procurement activities to ensure efficient and transparent operations in line with CENSCOPE’s policies, donor requirements, and local regulations.
The intern will provide administrative and operational support to the logistics and procurement team, helping to ensure the timely delivery of goods, services, and logistical support for project implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement:
Support in preparing and issuing Requests for Quotations (RFQs), Purchase Orders (POs), and procurement documentation.
Assist in maintaining and updating the supplier and vendor database.
Conduct market surveys and collect quotations for procurement activities.
Ensure proper filing and documentation of procurement records.
Track procurement requests and support the timely delivery of goods and services.
Logistics:
Assist in managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods and materials.
Support in maintaining inventory records and stock updates.
Help coordinate transport arrangements for staff, goods, and supplies.
Assist in preparing delivery notes and logistics reports.
Asset & Fleet Management:
Support the maintenance of the asset register and help with asset tagging and tracking.
Assist in monitoring vehicle usage, fuel logs, and maintenance schedules.
Compliance and Reporting:
Help ensure compliance with CENSCOPE’s procurement and logistics policies.
Support in compiling monthly procurement and logistics reports.
Assist in organizing and providing documentation during audits and donor reviews.
Coordination & Support:
Liaise with program and field teams to identify logistics and procurement needs.
Collaborate with the finance and admin teams to ensure smooth project implementation.
Participate in internal meetings and provide administrative support as required.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or ongoing study in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Demonstrated interest or experience in procurement and logistics (experience in NGOs or humanitarian organizations is an advantage).
Basic understanding of procurement procedures and supply chain principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively within a team and adapt to diverse environments.
Fluency in English (written and spoken).
