Job Title: Talent Acquisition & Retention Specialist

Job Overview

  • Our client is looking for a Talent Acquisition and Retention Specialist. This role focuses on building a robust talent pipeline, ensuring a seamless candidate experience, and implementing initiatives that enhance employee retention and engagement.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in sourcing, screening, and onboarding processes, as well as the ability to develop retention strategies that promote a positive employee experience and foster long-term commitment.

Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition:

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new hires.
  • Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract high-caliber candidates.
  • Build relationships with external recruitment agencies, educational institutions, and professional networks to identify potential talent.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define role requirements, create job descriptions, and design effective hiring processes.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience by maintaining clear communication and a professional approach throughout the recruitment process.
  • Track recruitment metrics to measure the success of sourcing and hiring strategies.

Employee Retention and Engagement:

  • Design and implement strategies to improve employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Conduct stay interviews and exit interviews to identify trends and opportunities for improving retention.
  • Partner with leadership to develop career development programs and growth opportunities for employees.
  • Monitor industry trends to ensure competitive compensation, benefits, and workplace practices.
  • Lead initiatives to foster a sense of belonging and inclusion, supporting the overall employee experience.

Employer Branding:

  • Strengthen the company’s employer brand by promoting a positive image to potential candidates and the wider talent market.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling recruitment marketing materials, including job postings, social media content, and employee testimonials.
  • Represent the company at job fairs, industry events, and other networking opportunities to attract talent.

HR Systems and Reporting:

  • Maintain and update applicant tracking systems (ATS) to ensure accurate candidate and recruitment data.
  • Generate reports on recruitment and retention metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Leverage HR analytics to identify and address gaps in talent acquisition and retention efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in talent acquisition, recruitment, or HR roles.
  • Proven success in developing and implementing recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Technical know-how of various HRIS Software applications such as HR Breezy
  • Certifications such as SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent are a plus.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with candidates and employees at all levels.
  • Expertise in sourcing techniques, including social media recruiting and networking.
  • Ability to design and execute engagement and retention programs effectively.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting to inform decision-making.
  • High level of adaptability and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Salary
N450,000 - N600,000 per month.
