What’s the Role?

• We are seeking a results-driven and ethically grounded Commercial Lead to drive procurement excellence, ensure rapid and compliant order fulfilment, and guide sourcing decisions aligned with business priorities.
• The ideal candidate will combine strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and stakeholder management experience to deliver value in a dynamic, high-demand environment.

Your Further Accountabilities Will Include:

• Lead procurement activities to ensure timely and cost-effective fulfilment of materials and services.
• Reviewing technical specifications of materials and ensuring all purchases meet quality and compliance standards.
• Prioritize and process requisitions in line with company activity plans and supply chain strategies.
• Drive negotiation, tendering, and evaluation processes to secure best-value outcomes while adhering to compliance standards.
• Advise internal stakeholders on appropriate procurement channels and support their decision-making.
• Ensure procurement operations align with the Nigeria Local Content Development Act and company governance.
• Establish cost parameters and maintain accurate purchase budgets and forecasts.
• Make professional and time-sensitive decisions in a fast-paced, high-volume procurement environment.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to meet business needs efficiently while maintaining compliance and ethical sourcing practices.

Requirements
What we need from you:

• A strong foundation in sourcing, negotiation, and procurement processes, ideally with x years of end-to-end supply chain experience.
• Proven ability to analyse procurement data, drive process improvement, and implement sustainable sourcing strategies.
• Demonstrated experience using SAP and ARIBA ERP systems to manage procurement activities
• Sound knowledge of procurement regulations, including the Nigeria Local Content Development Act, and ability to apply these principles in day-to-day procurement.
• Exceptional negotiation skills, commercial acumen, and working knowledge of procurement risk and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with technical, commercial, and legal stakeholders.
• Power BI (Microsoft) business intelligence, date visualization, real-time dashboards and AI-powered insights etc will be an added advantage.
