Job Summary
The National Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, leading and managing the sales team, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets across Nigeria.
The role requires deep knowledge of the pharmaceutical market, strategic thinking, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
The Ideal candidate must have extensive experience in pharmaceutical sales, with a proven track record of success in managing teams and developing sales strategies across multiple geopolitical zones.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company sales targets and expand market share across Nigeria.
Team Management: Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team, ensuring they meet their individual and collective sales goals. Provide ongoing training and development.
Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities, trends, and potential areas for growth. Adjust strategies accordingly to stay competitive.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key players in the pharmaceutical industry, including distributors, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
Regional Oversight: Oversee sales operations in at least 4-6 geopolitical zones in Nigeria, ensuring that all regions meet their sales targets and adhere to company policies and standards.
Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales reports to the Managing Director/CEO, through the Commercial Lead, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and expenses are kept within the budgetary limits.
Compliance: Ensure that all sales activities comply with relevant regulations and ethical standards in the pharmaceutical industry.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's Degree or relevant professional certification will be an added advantage.
8-10 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales.
At least 5 years in a managerial role.
Experience in managing a sales team and working with key players in the pharmaceutical market is essential.
Knowledge: Working knowledge of sales operations in at least 4-6 geopolitical zones in Nigeria.
