We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Marketing Officer
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Overall Responsibilities
Partner with sales and marketing teams to create and implement strategies to drive the sales pipeline and meet revenue goals.
Execute approved marketing activities for brands/products, particularly below- the-line programmes.
Plan, activate and monitor regular sampling programmes as appropriate brands/products.
Monitor and report on brand health, including competitor monitoring, using agreed attributes and format.
Provide market insights on the performance of assigned brands/products.
Use consumer insight to inform development of marketing programmes for brands/ products.
Track competitor activities in the assigned brand/product sector and assist in developing response strategies to protect the position of the brand/product.
Manage marketing budgets to execute annual activity plans for assigned brands/products, on budget and on time.
Monitor expenditure against agreed activities and provide regular reports.
Oversee the activation of best-in-class Point Of Sales (POS) material both in-store and online to maximise consumer engagement, brand presence and product awareness.
Required Qualifications
Graduate or postgraduate qualification in Social Sciences, Biological Sciences, or similar field
3-5 years of work experience in a consumer goods environment, ideally with some experience in FMCG or Pharma industry
Some sales experience would be an advantage
Trade or Customer Marketing experience preferably in FMCG industry (Pharma industry will be a plus)
Understanding of hospital, retail & wholesale trade
Commercial thinking to inform trade opportunities and investment choices.
Cross-functional working relationship
Strong communication skills with ability to deliver key messages succinctly.
Strong organisational and administrative skills
