Job Description

• The EHS Analyst is responsible for supporting, developing, and maintaining the company's Environmental, Health, and Safety programs.
• This role requires a strong technical and analytical foundation, typically gained through an engineering degree, to analyze complex operational data, ensure regulatory compliance, and implement sustainable safety solutions across all facilities and projects.
• The analyst will serve as a key technical resource, identifying risks, driving continuous improvement, and promoting a strong safety culture.

Key Deliverables

• Collect, analyze, and report on key EHS metrics (e.g., incident rates, energy consumption, waste generation).
• Ensure strict compliance with all local, state, and federal EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001/45001).
• Manage and submit regulatory required reports and permits.
• Apply engineering principles to investigate incidents, determine root causes, and design effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct quantitative risk assessments, Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs), and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) for new and existing equipment/processes.
• Develop and manage technical EHS programs such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Machine Guarding, Confined Space Entry, and Hazardous Waste Management.
• Perform regular site inspections and internal EHS audits to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Monitor the implementation of corrective actions from audits and inspections.

Operational Effectiveness:

• Bring out new/unknown risks in new and existing facilities for management to act
• Ensure all Olam facilities are compliant to local/international regulatory norms
• Document areas of improvement, push the envelope when it comes to environmental safety and safe workplace practices
• Identify opportunities to eliminate not just reduce workplace hazards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (e.g., Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, Environmental Engineering) or Occupational Health and Safety.
• 2+ years of professional experience in an EHS role within a manufacturing, industrial, or construction environment.
• Relevant professional certification such as Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or Professional Engineer (PE)
• Proven ability to collect, interpret, and present complex quantitative data using statistical analysis software (e.g., Excel, Minitab).
• Strong technical and critical thinking skills with the ability to apply engineering concepts to solve practical EHS problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
