Job Title: Biology Teacher

Location: Jalingo, Taraba
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Instruction: Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that cover biological topics, from cell function to genetics.
• Laboratory Work: Supervise and guide students through science experiments, ensuring safety and proper procedures.
• Assessment: Evaluate student progress through various methods, such as grading assignments, tests, and lab work.
• Student support: Provide individual support to students, monitor their progress, and communicate with parents about their performance and any issues.
• Record keeping: Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.
• Professional development: Stay current with advancements in biology and teaching methods through professional development, conferences, and collaboration with colleagues.
• Curriculum development: Assist in developing and improving teaching materials and the overall biology program.

Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor's degree in Biology, Science, or a related field.
• Certification: A valid teaching certification is often required.
• Experience: Previous experience as a science or biology teacher is beneficial.
• Skills: Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills are essential for managing a classroom and interacting with students and parents.
• Qualities: Passion for biology, creativity in teaching, and the ability to motivate students
