We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Document Control Support Officer (Business Record Analyst)
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

The Job
To oversee the management, classification, retention, and disposal of both physical and electronic records across the organization.
This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, facilitates efficient access to business records, and supports decision-making by enabling data-driven insights from records metadata.
The analyst collaborates with all departments to ensure adherence to records management policies, implement improvement initiatives, and support digital transformation efforts related to enterprise records governance.
The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
Develop, implement, and maintain records management policies and procedures.
Classify records based on retention schedules and regulatory requirements.
Monitor the lifecycle of physical and electronic records to ensure timely archiving, retrieval, and disposition.
Coordinate and manage records transmittal and retrieval requests to ensure timely and accurate processing.
Liaise with departmental records coordinators to ensure consistent application of records governance.
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal policies regarding data and records management.
Maintain metadata accuracy for reporting and analytics.
Support audits, reviews, and compliance checks related to records and data retention.
Identify process gaps and propose improvements to optimize records management practices.
Train staff on records management procedures, systems, and compliance requirements.
Work with IT and Information Governance teams to ensure integration of relevant ECM systems with business processes.
The Person
The right candidate should possess:
Bachelor’s degree (2nd class Lower) or HND (upper credit) in Library & Information Science, Records Management, Archive Management, or a related field
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in records, archives, or information management.
Experience with Enterprise Content Management (ECM) systems such as SharePoint or similar platforms.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., NDPA, CAMA, NERC, BPP, DPR) is an added advantage
Knowledge & Skills:
Strong understanding of records lifecycle management.
Knowledge of compliance and legal requirements for data/records retention.
Analytical skills to evaluate metadata and generate actionable insights.
Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
Good communication and training abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and ECM tools.
Proficiency in Record Management tools
Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Ability to work collaboratively across workgroups.
Salary
N500,000 - N750,000 Monthly.
