Ardova Plc is a Nigerian leading indigenous and integrated energy company involved in the distribution of petroleum products. With an extensive network of over 450 retail outlets in Nigeria and significant storage facilities in Apapa, Lagos and Onne, Rivers State, we procure and distribute petrol (PMS), diesel (AGO), kerosene (DPK) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). Our services also involve the manufacturing and distribution of a wide range of quality lubricants from our oil blending plant in Apapa, Lagos. These lubricants include: Super V, Visco 2000 and Diesel Motor Oil. We are also the sole authorised distributor of Shell branded Helix Engine Oils in Nigeria.
The role holder is expected to achieve maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within the Commercial sector by effectively selling all the company’s products and related services.
Also, they are responsible for management of all sales activities across the sector and provides necessary support to the Unit head and team members to achieve set targets.
Job Details
Sales and marketing of petroleum products such as AGO, Lubricants and PMS to customers in the required region.
Establishing, developing, and maintaining business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization’s products/services.
Making telephone calls and in-person visits and carrying out presentations to existing and prospective customers to win bids / businesses.
Researching sources for developing prospective customers and gathering of information to determine their potential.
Developing seasoned proposals/quotations for presentation to prospective customers.
Expediting the resolution of customers’ challenges and complaints to foster relationships.
Analyzing the territory/market’s potential and determining the value of existing and prospective customers.
Creating and managing customers’ value plan by highlighting profiles and value opportunities
Identifying competitive advantages and leveraging on them to increase the organization’s bottom-line
Providing reports on customer needs, challenges and competitors.
Planning and organizing personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the territory/segment
Providing historical records by maintaining records on customer sales in the territory.
Requirements
Education:
A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of a 2.2 in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience:
4-5 years relevant experience in Business Development, Sales, Marketing etc roles.
Skills:
Good knowledge of AP’s products and services
Good understanding of the local and international Oil & Gas sector including guiding principles and regulations as well as vast knowledge of marketing operations in the downstream oil and gas marketing sector within Nigeria. Knowledge of product sales and market is also an added characteristic.
Good customer service, relationship management tools, networking/teaming skills.
