As an ESG Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the implementation, coordination, and monitoring of Babban Gona’s environmental and social systems.
Responsibilities
You will:
Support environmental and social compliance across all operations, ensuring alignment with relevant regulations, standards, and internal requirements.
Assist in the implementation and continuous improvement of Babban Gona’s ESG policies, procedures, and performance frameworks.
Identify potential environmental and social risks and support mitigation efforts at both field and operational levels.
Build internal capacity by sensitizing and training teams on sustainability practices, compliance expectations, and ESG responsibilities.
Coordinate with partners, regulators, and internal stakeholders to advance sustainability initiatives and compliance activities.
Monitor, document, and report on ESG performance, providing timely insights that support decision-making and continuous improvement.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Agriculture, Social Sciences, or a related field.
3 years of hands-on experience in ESG, sustainability, or environmental and social risk management, ideally within agricultural, social enterprise, or development-focused organizations.

Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate ESG data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
Excellent communication skills to influence teams and senior management.
