Job Title: Site Quality Control Inspector
Location: Offshore (FPSO)
Line Manager: QAQC Engineer
Job Summary
Administration of all Quality Control and inspection activities at Site for Notifications, Projects & Site Modification Requests.
Key Responsibilties
Interface with Site management Team and Onshore Team for the Quality control / Inspection activities for welding, blasting and painting.
Ensure only the correct consumable (for welding, blasting and painting) as stipulated by the approved WPS / procedures are in use on site by the welders, blasters and painters.
Ensure only Qualified artisans (welding, blasters and painters) are deployed for all activities
Ensure continuous update of the welder’s qualifications.
Verifying conformity of the work to specified Quality Requirements and ensuring that the inspections and controls are carried out and documented in accordance with the Quality Procedure.
Controls coating and welding parameters and consumables during installation / construction activities,
Ensure the correct implementation of the approved Inspection Test Plan by Construction team / Contractor.
Checks the availability and suitability of the filler material, preheating, welding, heat treatment, the bevels, the extent of the repairs made by the various welders and taking any corrective actions
Carry out visual inspections, Verifies dimensional correctness and Monitors defect removal by Magnetic Permeability Inspection (MPI).
Ensure proper storage of all consumables (welding and Painting) and manage material traceability
Collate all (welding and coating) technical queries and report to Onshore QAQC Engineer for Response
Monitor the site Equipment calibration register to ensure only valid equipment are in use
Inspect all materials on arrival at site for conformity, Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports.
Take part in project meetings, where required prepare presentations, to give status of Inspection works etc.
Ensure proper close out report of welding and coating works in the form of weld history sheet and coating report to reflect the ‘As Built’.
Prepare and issue weekly and monthly report covering all quality inspection works on site.
Accountabilties
Compliance with company’s HSE KPI & Objective and assist company in compliance with overall Client HSE requirement
Ensures Zero Quality Defects on all works and Issue NC Reports in the case of defects / Nonconformities
Responsible for all Quality aspect of Material Inspection, Welding, Blasting and Painting Works on Site
Prepares accurate reports for all site Quality activity
Participates in site project meetings.
Professional Qualifications
Certifications – AWS CWI or CSWIP 3.1 (Level 2): Welding Inspector; NACE II or BGAS CSWIP Painting
Professional experience of 5 years minimum in Petroleum industry.
Inspector Grade II
Conversant with the International Standards, Codes and Total General Specifications
Experience: Verifiable experience in the use of MS Office packages.
