About the Role
Castville Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a reputable healthcare client for a proactive and experienced Business Unit Lead.
The successful candidate will oversee inventory management, warehouse operations, data accuracy, demand planning inputs, and stakeholder communication within the client’s Vendor Managed Inventory Unit.
The ideal candidate must be strong in supply chain operations, data-driven management, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Warehouse Operations
Lead daily operations across inventory and warehouse units.
Oversee stock receiving, shelving, binning, and stock issuance to ensure accuracy and minimal shrinkage.
Maintain clean and optimized storage layout using proper warehousing standards (FEFO/FIFO, labeling, bin integrity).
Track and manage inventory using KPIs such as:
Stock Accuracy (%)
Inventory Turnover Ratio
Stockout Rate
Order Fulfilment Cycle Time
Days of Inventory on Hand (DOH)
Shrinkage/Loss Rate (%)
Ensure timely stock reconciliation, variance investigation, and corrective action.
Supply Chain Management & Demand Planning:
Monitor consumption trends to support accurate demand forecasting.
Ensure data completeness for supply planning and replenishment cycles.
Collaborate with procurement and finance teams on stock availability, lead times, and reorder triggers.
Track key supply chain metrics, including:
Reorder Point (ROP) compliance
Supplier Lead Time & delays
Material Availability Ratio
Cycle Time for Replenishment
Optimize stock levels to reduce wastage while preventing stockouts.
Data Management & Reporting:
Supervise the data entry team responsible for uploading daily prescription, dispensing, and consumption data.
Implement strict data quality checks to ensure the accuracy needed for forecasting and billing.
Review and validate daily/weekly/monthly operational data to identify consumption patterns and operational risks.
Prepare comprehensive VMI operational performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Billing & Financial Accuracy:
Validate consumption and stock movement data before submission for client billing.
Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and reconciled billing cycles.
Track billing-related metrics such as:
Billing Accuracy %
Turnaround Time for Billing Queries
Stakeholder & Client Relationship Management:
Serve as the key liaison between CharisVille, client stakeholders, and internal teams.
Handle escalations related to stock availability, supply delays, billing concerns, or data discrepancies.
Ensure transparent communication of operational issues and resolutions.
Compliance & Continuous Process Improvement:
Ensure all operations follow SOPs, regulatory guidelines, and client requirements.
Conduct periodic audits across warehouse, inventory, and data-entry teams.
Identify gaps and lead process improvement initiatives that enhance speed, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
Implement best practices in logistics, warehousing, and supply chain flow.
Team Leadership & Staff Development:
Supervise inventory officers, warehouse staff, and data entry clerks.
Conduct regular coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
Foster a high-performance culture that encourages accountability and teamwork.
Requirements
Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Pharmacy, or related field.
4–6+ years hands-on experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain.
Strong understanding of supply chain metrics, inventory KPIs, and operational workflows.
Experience working with ERP or inventory management systems.
Excellent analytical, communication, problem solving and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, data-driven operational environment.
Salary
N500,000 - N600,000 per month.
