Job Title: Cash Operations Officer

Location: Uyo, Akwa Ibom
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

• A bank cash officer is responsible formanaging all cash transactions, ensuring vault security, and supervising tellers to maintain accuracy and compliance.
• Key duties include daily cash balancing, processing deposits and withdrawals, managing cash flow, and reconciling all financial records.
• The role also involves customer service, ensuring transactions are processed efficiently and accurately, and adhering to all bank policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
Cash management and vault operations:

• Manage daily cash levels and ensure the branch meets its cash requirements.
• Oversee all cash transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and ATM cash loading.
• Ensure the security and proper administration of the cash vault.
• Coordinate the transfer of excess cash to the head office with security escorts.

Transaction processing and accuracy:

• Ensure accurate and timely processing of all teller and vault transactions.
• Authorise cash transactions above tellers' limits.
• Perform daily balancing of cash and reconcile all transactions.
• Ensure all transaction vouchers are correctly documented and filed.

Supervision and compliance:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of cashiers/tellers.
• Monitor cashier till balances and adherence to insurance limits.
• Ensure all cash handling activities comply with bank policies and regulatory requirements, such as anti-money laundering (AML) and zero fraud tolerance.

Customer service:

• Provide excellent customer service and address inquiries regarding cash and fund transfers.
• Ensure efficient and timely service delivery to customers.

Reporting:

• Prepare and submit daily cash position reports to management.
• Ensure timely and error-free execution of end-of-day reports.

Requirements

• Education: HND / BSC, who must have completed NYSC.

Skills:

• Strong math skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Computer literacy, including proficiency in relevant banking software.
• Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
