Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to manage the financial operations of our luxury retail store. The ideal candidate will handle daily accounting activities, confirm and reconcile payments, maintain accurate inventory records, and ensure compliance with financial and tax regulations.
This role requires precision, integrity, and strong analytical skills to support the financial health and growth of the brand.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Accounting and Sales Reporting:
Prepare and submit daily financial reports to management, including:
Total sales breakdown (cash, card, and transfer payments).
Daily expenses, deductions, and cash movements.
Pending customer payments and outstanding balances.
Pre-order payment updates and balances.
Payment Confirmation and Verification:
Confirm and track all payments made through:
Bank transfers for customer purchases.
Pre-orders and online transactions.
Delivery and personal shopper payments.
Payment Reconciliation:
Reconcile and monitor:
Daily sales across in-store and online channels.
Operational expenses (fueling, logistics, supplies, and maintenance).
Inventory Management and System Updates:
Update and maintain accurate inventory data, including:
New stock arrivals and product categories.
Sold, damaged, or promotional items.
Pre-order confirmations and stock adjustments.
Financial Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation, including:
Daily transactions and cash flow logs.
Delivery fee payments and logistics balances.
Purchases made by management for store operations.
Petty cash disbursements and reconciliations.
Monthly financial summaries and management reports.
Expense Reconciliation and Tax Compliance:
Match expenses with receipts and supporting documentation.
Maintain VAT and tax records in compliance with statutory requirements.
Employee Salary Management:
Prepare and process monthly payroll.
Adjust for deductions, overtime, and other allowances.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2–4 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in the retail or fashion industry.
Professional certifications (ACA, ACCA) are an added advantage.
Behavioural Competencies
Highly meticulous and accurate in financial documentation.
Proactive in resolving financial discrepancies.
Strong time management skills for daily and monthly deliverables.
Collaborative and dependable team player.
Skills
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Excel, or similar).
Strong understanding of financial reporting and reconciliation.
Knowledge of inventory and retail financial systems.
Familiarity with Nigerian tax laws and compliance requirements.

Clear communication and teamwork abilities.

Salary
N3,000,000 annually.
