Job Description

• The Head Chef will oversee and manage all kitchen operations for the lounge, ensuring exceptional preparation and presentation of meals—especially Lebanese and Italian dishes.
• The ideal candidate must have solid hospitality experience, excellent culinary skills, and the ability to create authentic and diverse menus that elevate the lounge’s dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
Menu Planning & Culinary Leadership:

• Develop, plan, and update a diverse menu featuring Lebanese, Italian, and selected continental dishes.
• Ensure authenticity, taste consistency, and high-quality presentation of all dishes.
• Introduce seasonal specials, unique dishes, and creative recipes to attract and retain customers.

Kitchen Operations Management:

• Oversee daily food preparation and cooking activities.
• Ensure strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Manage kitchen workflow to guarantee smooth, timely service.
• Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure proper usage and cleaning.
• Note that the agency is entitled to 50% of the candidate's first month's salary

Staff Leadership & Training:

• Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring high performance standards.
• Allocate duties, prepare work schedules, and evaluate staff performance.
• Maintain strong collaboration with front-of-house and service teams

Inventory & Cost Control:

• Monitor stock levels and manage the procurement of ingredients—especially specialty ingredients for Lebanese and Italian cuisine.
• Reduce food wastage and optimize cost without compromising quality.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on inventory usage and kitchen expenses.

Customer Satisfaction & Quality Assurance

• Ensure dishes meet customer expectations in taste, freshness, and presentation.
• Address customer feedback regarding food quality and implement improvements where necessary.
• Uphold the lounge’s brand standards through exceptional culinary execution.

Requirements

• 4 - 7 years of professional experience as a Chef, preferably in a lounge, restaurant, or hotel.
• Expert knowledge of Lebanese and Italian dishes (Shawarma, Hummus, Tabbouleh, Pasta varieties, Risotto, etc.).
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Culinary certification is an added advantage.
• Must reside in Lagos, preferably around Ajah–Badore.

Salary
N300,000 / month.
