Role Overview
The Events Assistant supports the successful execution of cocktail services at events by assisting with setup, bar operations, customer service, logistics, and breakdown.
This role works closely with mixologists, bartenders, event coordinators, and clients to ensure smooth service delivery and exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Event Preparation & Setup:
Assist in loading, transporting, and unloading cocktail equipment, bar setups, décor items, ingredients, and supplies.
Help with bar station setup according to brand standards and event requirements.
Prepare garnishes, glassware, ice, mixers, and other bar essentials.
On-Site Event Support:
Support bartenders/mixologists in cocktail preparation and service.
Refill ingredients, ice, garnishes, and materials as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area throughout the event.
Serve mocktails/cocktails to guests when required and engage with clients in a friendly, professional manner.
Assist in crowd control around the bar, ensuring smooth service flow.
Provide general support for VIP service when necessary.
Customer Service:
Interact with guests courteously, answer questions about cocktail offerings, and provide recommendations.
Represent the brand positively, maintaining a high level of professionalism and hospitality.
Logistics & Inventory:
Assist with inventory checks before and after each event.
Monitor stock levels during events and report shortages immediately.
Ensure proper handling and return of equipment and branded items after events.
Post-Event Responsibilities:
Support bar breakdown and packing of equipment.
Ensure all tools, bottles, décor, and materials are accounted for.
Assist with cleaning and restoring the event space as required.
Administrative / Team Support:
Maintain accurate shift records, event notes, and incident reports when necessary.
Provide feedback after events on what went well or areas for improvement.
Support the operations team with miscellaneous tasks.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
Strong teamwork and willingness to learn.
Good physical stamina (long hours of standing, lifting light equipment).
Basic knowledge of cocktails, mocktails, and bar operations (training can be provided).
Attention to detail, hygiene, and presentation.
