About the Role
The Nigerian College of Agribusiness (NCA) is recruiting energetic, ambitious, and results-driven professionals for the role of Business Development Executive (BDE) across two strategic regions: North and South.
This is a field-focused business role responsible for driving program enrollments, regional partnerships, corporate outreach, and market expansion for all NCA programs.
The ideal candidates must be proactive, confident, excellent communicators, and passionate about agribusiness, education, and market development. These roles form the backbone of NCA’s national expansion system.
Additional Information:
Business Development Executive – North Region: (Based in Abuja or Kaduna; covers NW, NE, and NC states)
Business Development Executive – South Region: (Based in Lagos, Ibadan, Benin, or Port Harcourt; covers SW, SS, and SE states)
Key Responsibilities
Drive student and participant enrollments for all NCA professional programs
Conduct regional outreach to farms, agribusinesses, ministries, ADPs, NGOs, cooperatives, and universities
Represent NCA in local engagements, exhibitions, field visits, and cluster mobilization
Manage and grow regional WhatsApp communities and digital outreach channels
Execute corporate and institutional partnership strategies in collaboration with the Head of Business
Identify local training opportunities, corporate engagements, and sponsored program possibilities
Coordinate basic logistics during field events and trainings within the assigned region
Conduct regular market research to identify new opportunities for NCA programs
Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports on leads, conversions, and partnerships
Strengthen NCA’s regional presence and brand visibility
Support the Head of Business in meeting revenue and enrollment targets
Requirements
Essential Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in any field (Marketing, Agriculture, Business, or Social Sciences is an advantage)
Strong experience in sales, field marketing, community outreach, or business development
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and persuasive skills
Familiarity with agribusiness environments, value chains, NGOs, or agricultural clusters (added advantage)
Strong digital marketing and WhatsApp engagement skills
High confidence, energy, and ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Must reside in the region of application (North or South)
Willingness to travel within the assigned region when necessary
Desirable Skills:
Experience in higher education enrollment or training sectors
Experience engaging Ministries, Departments & Agencies (MDAs), NGOs, or cooperatives
Ability to build relationships quickly and convert leads to enrollment
Good presentation and public speaking ability
