Jireh Doo Foundation (JDF) is a registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), founded in Makurdi, Benue State in 2003 by Josephine Habba and became operational that same year. The journey started with reaching out to the underserved in the Makurdi, Benue State which included single mothers, their children, People Living with HIV/AIDS, Orphans, and Vulnerable Children, young people who had no direction, Displaced Persons due to natural and man-made causes, as well as advocating for policies that favored these target groups. The work JDF was doing was so impactful that other both National and International Nongovernmental organizations wanted to one level of partnership or the other.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Water Quality Analyst
Location: Konduga (Musakalari and Kaleri Communities), Borno

Position Summary
The Water Quality Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of drinking water provided under JDF WASH programs.
The role involves regular water sampling, laboratory testing, data analysis, and reporting to support evidence-based decision-making and compliance with national and WHO standards.
Key Responsibilities
Water Sampling and Testing:
Collect water samples from boreholes, wells, tanks, and other sources.
Conduct physical, chemical, and bacteriological analyses using field/lab equipment.
Ensure accurate documentation and chain of custody for all samples.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Analyze water test results and compare them to national and WHO guidelines.
Prepare technical reports and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain organized digital and physical records of test results.
Technical Support and Training:
Provide guidance on water treatment, chlorination, and contamination prevention.
Train community volunteers and field staff on water safety monitoring.
Support emergency response teams in water safety and disinfection activities.
Coordination and Compliance:
Collaborate with local health and WASH authorities for surveillance and outbreak response.
Ensure laboratory materials, reagents, and consumables are properly stocked and maintained.
Initiate procurement requests, prepare and submit activity, monthly and project progress reports and participate in external meetings/engagements.
Support proposal development.
Carry out any other activity that supports the actualization of the organization’s vision and mission.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or HND in Environmental Health, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology, Water Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in water quality testing and monitoring.
Knowledge of water treatment and public health principles.
Proficiency in WAGTECH testing equipment and data management tools.
Strong analytical and reporting skills.

Advanced computer skills, including the ability to type quickly and to use Microsoft Office products, email, and the internet.
Ability to maintain confidentiality for sensitive issues or projects and use judgement to execute duties and responsibilities.
Sensitive to cultural differences and an understanding of the political and ethical issues surrounding HIV infections subcontractors, and recipients of assistance.
