Description
They are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager with a strong background in driving strategic business growth for the company by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, generating revenue, building high-value relationships and maintaining client relationship.
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience in business development across these industries.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Business Growth & Revenue Expansion:
Identify, explore, and convert new business opportunities within the Oil & Gas, Marine, and Gas Processing sectors
Drive consistent revenue growth by pursuing leads, pitching services, and closing profitable business deals
Manage the entire business development cycle from prospecting to deal closure and client onboarding
Develop and execute strategies aimed at achieving and surpassing monthly and quarterly targets
Client Relationship & Account Development:
Build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with clients, partners, vendors, and industry stakeholders
Understand client needs, anticipate opportunities, and provide tailored service recommendation
Maintain continuous engagement with clients to ensure satisfaction, repeat business, and referrals
Proposal & Deal Management:
Prepare and present well-structured proposals, presentations, capability statements, and business offers
Lead negotiations to secure favorable and profitable deals for the company
Follow up on all business leads, meetings, and proposals to ensure timely conversion
Market Intelligence & Strategy:
Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities
Provide strategic recommendations for market penetration, service expansion, and revenue improvement
Monitor industry developments and leverage insights to position the company competitively
Internal Collaboration & Coordination:
Work closely with internal teams: technical, operations, finance, and management to ensure seamless delivery of client expectations
Participate in strategy sessions, client presentations, industry exhibitions, networking forums, and stakeholder events
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports
Maintain accurate documentation of leads, meetings, opportunities, pipelines, and closed deals using CRM tools or reporting templates
Track KPIs and continuously improve business development processes
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
B.Sc or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or any related field
Minimum of 5 years proven Business Development experience in Oil & Gas, Marine, or Gas Processing industries
Strong knowledge of industry operations, service offerings, contract cycles, and client engagement processes
Excellent understanding of market dynamics within Oil & Gas, Marine logistics, and Gas Processing services
Proven ability to meet and exceed revenue targets
Exceptional negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-management skill
Ability to work independently under a hybrid model and deliver measurable results
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools is an added advantage
Salary
N200,000 Monthly plus commission.
