Achieving Health Nigeria Initiative (AHNi) is a non-profit organization that promotes socio-economic development by supporting global health and economic initiatives in Nigeria. It was established as indigenous organizational, registered in 2009 with its headquarter in Abuja, and presence in the four geopolitical regions of Nigeria. It aims to provide technical assistance to the government and people of Nigeria in the implementation of public health and development programs.
The Global Fund Grant Cycle (GC7) is to ensure a coordinated and intensive effort to scale up the prevention, identification, and treatment of HIV in both general and key populations in Anambra state. The focus will be on facility and community-based approaches to reach epidemic control, and in addition, ensure improvement in the coverage of pregnant women on ART as well as target KP and AGYW programs.

Job Description
The PA will provide programmatic and administrative support to cluster offices and contribute to the design, planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of facility and community-based, target-driven activities focused on demand creation for HIV/AIDS services and quality service delivery within the state or LGAs.
This role ensures adequate and timely implementation of activities through periodic work plan reviews, processing memos, fund requests, monitoring expenditures, and initiating corrective actions to mitigate financial risks while maintaining compliance with donor and organizational policies and guidelines.
The Program Assistant will maintain program monitoring checklists and budget tracking tools to effectively supervise deliverables and monitor the burn rate of community-based activities in line with approved work plans.
The position also involves facilitating accurate documentation, maintaining a database of all ad-hoc staff and program resources, and supporting the review, collation, and submission of routine progress reports—weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and quarterly—from field teams, including capturing success stories in accordance with project and donor guidelines.
Additional responsibilities include reviewing financial and programmatic reports to ensure compliance with reporting timelines and donor requirements, as well as developing and maintaining an efficient filing and tracking system for all project documentation, including meeting minutes.
Minimum Recruitment Standard
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) in Public Health, Project Management, Business Administration or a recognized equivalent with 2-3 years of relevant experience with international development programs.
Or MS/MA degree in public health, project management, business administration or a recognized equivalent with 1-2 years’ relevant experience with international development programs.
Demonstrated success in multicultural environments is required.
Ability to manage tight deadlines and deliver high volumes of work with minimal supervision.
