Job Title: Senior Financial Manager
Locations: Abuja (FCT) and Lagos

Job Overview
The Senior Financial Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the NGO and will work closely with the CEO to develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient financial management.
The Senior Financial Manager will lead a team of financial professionals, provide financial analysis and reporting, and play a crucial role in budgeting, forecasting, and risk management for the NGO.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement the NGO’s financial strategic vision, policies, and procedures to support overall goals and objectives.
Financial Management and reporting.
High-level budgeting to align with strategic vision.
Oversee financial operations of the organization and the ability to create and implement effective and efficient structure.
Ability to utilize analytical skills to review financial data, assess performance and develop financial strategies.
Oversee Income Tax and VAT processes and workings.
Oversee Human Resource functions of the organization.
Oversee the payroll of the organization.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and financial regulations applicable to the NGO.
Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, statements, and analysis to the CEO and Board of the NGO.
Monitor and analyse financial performance against budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators, highlighting areas of concern and suggesting corrective actions.
Manage financial relationships with external parties, including banks, auditors, and financial institutions.
Ensure the implementation and maintenance of strong internal controls and financial systems.
Manage and oversee audits, both internal and external, ensuring timely completion and adherence to audit requirements.
Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, including training, mentoring, and performance management.
Qualification and Experience
The following qualifications are a minimum requirement but not limited for this position:
BSc. Accounting Hons. or similar.
ICAN or ACCA required.
The successful candidate should have strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and reporting requirements.
At least 5 years’ experience in:
Financial Management.
Budgeting.
Alignment of company finances to strategy.
VAT.
Financial reporting for decision-making purposes.
Basic Skill Requirements
The basic skills and relevant experience required for the position:
Leadership skills to steer the finance office.
Designing and implementing of financial strategies.
Critical thinking skills
Prolific experience and speed with Excel and Pastel.
Proficiency in financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
Sound knowledge of financial systems and software, and the ability to leverage technology for efficient financial management.
Ability to handle multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Understanding of the sports industry and its financial landscape is preferred.
Reporting Line:
The Senior Financial Manager reports to the Executive Secretary General and dotted line to the General Manager.
Salary
N300,000 - N400,000 / month.
