Job Title: Sales Analyst
Location: Lokoja, Kogi

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Sales Analyst to join our distribution team in Lokoja, Kogi State. This role will support our Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and Non-Consumable Goods distribution operations by providing critical data analysis and insights to drive sales performance across multiple market channels.
Key Responsibilities
Review daily, weekly, and monthly sales figures to see what's selling well and what's not across different market areas, including shops, supermarkets, and online platforms.
Keep track of how different products from our brand partners are performing and provide reports on which items need more attention or stock adjustments.
Gather information about competitors and market changes in Kogi State to help identify new business opportunities and potential challenges.
Look at sales data by location and delivery route to find better ways to reach customers and improve our distribution coverage.
Use past sales records and current trends to estimate how much product we'll need in the coming weeks and months.
Prepare easy-to-understand charts, graphs, and reports that show management how the business is doing and where improvements are needed.
Study what different types of customers are buying and when, to help the sales team focus their efforts on the right customers.
Make sure all sales information is correct and up-to-date by checking for errors and working with other teams to fix any problems found.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field
Additional certification in Data Analysis is an advantage
Experience:
2-3 years of experience in sales analysis, business analysis, or related role
Experience in the FMCG distribution or retail sector is preferred
Previous work in data analysis or reporting is required
Skills:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis tools)
Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
Knowledge of sales management software and CRM systems
Basic understanding of SQL or database management is an advantage
Strong numerical and analytical thinking abilities
Ability to interpret complex data and turn it into simple insights
Good problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to present data findings clearly to non-technical audiences
Good interpersonal skills for working with sales teams and management
Other Requirements:
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong organizational and time management skills
Willingness to occasionally travel within Kogi State for field visits.
