Job Description

• A Laundry Attendant is responsible for washing, drying, folding, and organizing laundry items, ensuring cleanliness and efficiency in laundry operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Washing and Drying: Operate washing machines and dryers, ensuring proper loading and use of detergents and cleaning solutions. Sort laundry by color, fabric type, and washing requirements.
• Folding and Organizing: After drying, fold, hang, or package laundered items neatly for distribution or storage. Maintain an organized laundry area.
• Equipment Maintenance: Regularly check and maintain laundry equipment to ensure it is functioning properly. Report any technical issues to management.
• Customer Service: Interact with customers to address their laundry needs, handle requests, and resolve complaints effectively.
• Safety and Cleanliness: Adhere to safety protocols while handling chemicals and operating machinery. Keep the laundry area clean and organized to promote a safe working environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions carefully and ensure high-quality laundry service.
• Physical Stamina: Capability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 20 pounds).
• Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage time effectively and keep track of laundry items and supplies.
• Communication Skills: Good interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members.
• Experience: Prior experience in laundry services or housekeeping is preferred but not always required.

Work Environment:

• Laundry Attendants typically work in hotels, laundromats, hospitals, or other facilities that require regular laundry services. The job may involve working with large-scale industrial machines and can be physically demanding due to the nature of the tasks involved.

Salary
N50,000 - N60,000 / month.
