Job Title: Business Development Specialist (IT and Compliance)
We’re seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Development Specialist to lead our expansion in Nigeria’s fast-evolving data compliance landscape.
You’ll play a key role in building the business from the ground up—driving market entry, growing our client base, and positioning our firm as a trusted authority in data protection, information security, and AI governance.
The ideal candidate will develop and execute target-driven marketing and growth strategies, forge meaningful partnerships, and ensure every initiative aligns with global data privacy, cybersecurity, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development and Strategy:
Develop and implement strategic business growth plans to expand the firm’s presence and performance across existing IT and compliance-driven sectors (e.g., fintech, data security, digital transformation, and governance).
Build and sustain relationships with clients, regulators, and industry partners to strengthen the firm’s market position and credibility.
Develop and implement performance-based business and marketing strategies that align with NDPC regulatory frameworks and global data protection standards (e.g., NDPR, GDPR).
Promote the firm’s licensed status and service offerings through targeted campaigns, thought leadership, and stakeholder engagement.
Collaborate with technical and compliance teams to design client-focused solutions that meet data privacy, cybersecurity, and AI ethics requirements.
Monitor market trends, policy developments, and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities and potential risks.
Prepare proposals, pitch decks, and reports that effectively communicate the firm’s value proposition to clients and partners.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Drive alignment between new business opportunities and the organization's established compliance framework and defined risk appetite.
Participate in vendor and client due diligence processes to ensure adherence to compliance and security standards.
Provide compliance input during contract negotiation and project scoping.
Qualifications and Skills
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
MBA or relevant professional certification is considered a bonus.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 - 10 years of experience in business development, IT consulting, or compliance management.
Proven track record in developing client relationships and closing deals in the IT or regulatory compliance sector.
Proven experience of business they have taken onboard and grew to maturity
Experience working with IT governance frameworks and data protection standards.
Core Skills & Proficiencies:
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data compliance.
Excellent communication, proposal writing, and presentation skills.
Strong negotiation and relationship management abilities.
Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risk and regulatory impact.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments (IT, Legal, Compliance, and Sales).
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Proficiency in leveraging LinkedIn Premium for strategic networking, lead generation, and engaging key decision-makers within target industries.
Compensation
Competitive Salary - N250,000 - N400,000 monthly.
