Description
The Cluster Manager plays a pivotal role in driving RedCloud’s growth within their assigned geography.
This role mirrors the responsibilities of an FMCG Area/Regional Sales Manager, with an added focus on digital adoption, customer success, and operational execution across Distributors/Wholesalers and Retailers.
The successful candidate report to the Regional Manager.
Main Responsibilities
Cluster Management:
Identify all prospective Distributors & Wholesalers within their cluster to ensure assortment as per demand from the local retail ecosystem.
Pitch and sell RedCloud’s value proposition to prospective Distributors/Wholesalers.
Lead commercial discussions and secure signed agreements and invoicing.
Deliver monthly targets for TTV (including direct engagement to facilitate Bulk trade via TradeX), Acquisition, Revenue and Monthly Active Retailers.
Build and execute strategic growth plans to drive platform adoption and consistent trading performance across all partners.
Act as the ongoing success owner for all Distributors/Wholesalers in the cluster. Develop a monthly visit plan covering every Distributor/Wholesaler in the cluster.
Ensure Distributors/Wholesalers maintain accurate product listings, pricing, inventory levels, and assortments on the platform. Proactively prevent stock-outs and guide partners on improving catalogue quality.
Diagnose challenges early (pricing, assortment, logistics, platform usage, retailer activation) and coordinate cross-functional solutions.
Drive Distributor/Wholesaler engagement on TTV performance, category/brand trends, Digital adoption and operational issues.
Log all visits in RedTAG and maintain itineraries in collaboration with their Managers.
Validate authenticity of trades, proper application of marketing incentives, and payment status.
Visit at least 30 Retailers monthly to assess Red101 app usage and verify on-ground transactions.
Gather feedback, capture purchase receipts, and upload insights into RedTAG.
Act as the “Voice of Customer” to Product, Operations, and Growth teams for continuous improvement.
Retailer Network Growth:
Lead a team of RedForce officers (Field Activation Officers) covering 1500–2000 Retailers. Provide daily coaching, on-the-job training, productivity tracking, and operational governance.
Drive acquisition and activation of new Retailers in the cluster.
Lead local demand generation activities with Marketing, retailer onboarding drives, and market-mapping initiatives.
Visit at least 20 Retailers monthly to assess Red101 app usage and verify on-ground transactions.
Gather feedback, capture purchase receipts, and upload insights into RedTAG.
Experience we think you'll need
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Previous experience (5 - 10 years) in retail, preferably within an FMCG or a B2B marketplace environment.
Strong understanding of customer experience and relationship management.
Good business writing and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, derive insights, and make data-driven decisions. Knowledge of MS Excel at intermediate level a must have.
Self-starter with a proactive approach, able to work independently and take ownership of projects.
Proficiency in the use of ERP and CRM tools would be a great advantage.
