Job Title: Application Developer

Location: Nigeria

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements gathering and translating requirements into technical design with documentation
• Work collaboratively in small teams and iteratively through design and development to deliver fully functioning application services and integrations (channel systems CUSSD, web-based and mobile applications)
• Employing agile methodologies to quickly provide businesses with the solutions they need will help combine the latest open source technologies together with traditional Enterprise software products
• Document all aspects of the development process for future reference and improvement.
• Core member of the team with responsibilities that range from driving the architecture design and technology decisions for shaping the next generation products for various internal teams to ensuring that we stay on the leading edge of technology
• Coordinate with the technical operations team to ensure that application support is seamless.

Requirements

• Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or any related discipline
• 3 - 5 years of experience in software development, including leading a team and a project workstream
• Architecture, development and design of complex distributed enterprise applications.
• Demonstrated track record of successfully understanding the business requirements and designing realistic and effective solutions.
• Knowledge of the Agile software development process
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as RSpec, JUnit or Selenium
• Strong application development knowledge of any of the following technologies: PHP, Java, C#, XML, JavaScript, Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, Ruby on Rails, HTML, CSS.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively with people at all levels in an organization.
• Tracking and routing problems, or requests, and documenting resolutions.
