Job Title: Zonal Sales Manager (Soya Bean Meal)
Location: North-West / North-East, Nigeria

Role Summary
The Zonal Sales Manager (ZSM) will be responsible for driving sales, market expansion, and key account management for soybean meal across the North-West and North-East region.
The role focuses on achieving volume & margin targets, developing dealer networks, strengthening relationships with feed manufacturers, poultry integrators, cattle feed plants, and traders, and monitoring market intelligence to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve monthly/quarterly/annual sales volume and profitability targets for soybean meal in the assigned zone.
Drive order booking, dispatch planning, and timely collections.
Optimize product mix to improve margins.
Identify and onboard new customers: feed mills, Toll Millers, poultry farmers, traders, and livestock feed manufacturers.
Explore new applications and emerging markets within the agri-feed segment.
Maintain strong relationships with large feed manufacturers and strategic customers.
Conduct regular visits, product discussions, commercial negotiations, and service support.
Ensure customer satisfaction and long-term business retention.
Track daily/weekly price movements of soybean meal, soy oil, soybean seeds, and competing protein sources (DOC, rapeseed meal, DDGS, rice bran extraction).
Monitor competitor activities, demand patterns, and local market dynamics.
Share insights with HO for pricing, inventory planning, and risk management.
Coordinate with Senior Sales Manager-SBM, logistics, production, and supply chain teams for timely deliveries.
Ensure compliance with billing, documentation, dispatch schedules, and credit policies.
Collaborate with quality teams to address customer complaints and product issues.
Prepare zonal sales reports, forecasts, customer feedback, and MIS dashboards.
Maintain CRM and customer database with updated sales pipeline.
Present periodic performance reviews to senior management.
Lead and guide Sales Officers and Graduate Trainees within the zone.
Train team members on product knowledge, pricing logic, negotiation, and market mapping.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture / Animal Nutrition / Business Administration
MBA/PGDM in Sales & Marketing preferred
Requirements:
8–10+ years of experience in commodity trading, agri-inputs, oilseed processing, or feed industry sales
Proven B2B sales background within the soya bean meal supply chain
Strong exposure to the soybean meal or animal feed segment is essential
Experience in the North-West or North-East market is an added advantage
Skills:
Strong negotiation and commercial acumen
Deep understanding of the feed industry supply chains
Market mapping, network development, and relationship-building
Ability to work in a volatile commodity market environment
Data-driven approach and proficiency in Excel/CRM tools
Willingness to travel extensively across the zone
