Job Overview

• The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs across various sections of the production plant.
• This includes machinery such as conveyors, fans, pumps, elevators, silos, and boilers, ensuring optimal functionality and minimal downtime. The role requires expertise in mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and ensuring that all equipment is functioning efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical preventive Maintenance and breakdown repairs on Beans Silos, Intake machinery, Bucket elevators, cleaning machine, De-stoner, conveyors, Ventilex, Winnowers, Beans breakers, Airlocks, screw conveyors, Fans, Nibbstransport lines, and shell line to the boiler.
• Carry out mechanicalpreventive Maintenance and breakdown repairs on ContinuesLine Machinery, Twinscrew, Residence belt, Kahl Dreyer,screw conveyors, steam lines, pumps, Fans, airlocks, blowers, and bearing units.
• Carry out mechanicalpreventiveMaintenance and breakdown repairs on Beans Dumping conveyor,elevatorand conveyor to the factory.Couplings, gearboxes, belt rollers, bearing unitsand compressed air line.
• Carry out mechanical preventive Maintenance and breakdown repairs on Nibbs lineto Scale 4, Pre-Grinderbearing lubricationunit,installation of new Sieves,Pump and Gearboxes, hot water lines, SWECO Sieve, Aspiration Fans.
• Carry out mechanical preventive Maintenance and breakdown repairs onPress 1-3, Hydraulic units, cake conveyors, LCS pumps, heat exchanger, Steam supply.
• Carry out mechanical preventive Maintenance and breakdown repairsonPowder Packing Section, Fans, Blowers, PowderMill, Powder bagging machine, Screw conveyors, Airlocks, Compressed air supply lines, Belt conveyor Material Hoppers, and Rolling Screen,Filterboxesand filter replacements.
• Carry out mechanical preventive Maintenance and breakdown repairs onButter/Liquor packing section, Conveyors, Pumps, Torpedo coolers, Chilled water line, Filling nozzles, Chillers, strainers, ball valves.
• Carry out mechanical preventive Maintenance and breakdown repairson compressors, Cleaning of radiators, filters, replacement of filters if necessary.
• Carry out mechanical preventive Maintenance and breakdown repairson Diesel and Shell boilers, Inlet fans, pumps, Blowers, screw conveyors, hydraulic unit.
• Carry out mechanical preventive Maintenance and breakdown repairs onCake Section, Blower, filter units, Airlocks.Make use of company tools in the workshop for rebuilding, repairing, reconditioning of Pumps, Airlocks, fans, Blowers, assembly of Grinder shafts,

Requirements

• Qualification: B.Sc, Eng, /HND in Mechanical Engineering and other related courses
• Experience: 5 years and above
• Gender: Male preferably
• Age: Not more than 45 years

Abilities/Requirements:

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills for a wide range of machinery (conveyors, pumps, fans, elevators, etc.).
• Expertisein equipment alignment (V-belts, pulleys, chains, sprockets) and lubrication systems.
• Ability to use tools such as welding equipment, grinders, and other workshop tools effectively.
• In-depth understanding of preventive maintenance schedules and techniques.
• Experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with bearing lubrication, pump servicing, and compressor maintenance.
• Capable ofidentifying, diagnosing, and resolving complex mechanical problems swiftly and effectively.
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions during breakdowns or emergencies.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety, with the ability to report unsafe machinery or behavior promptly.

Salary
N350,000 Monthly Gross
