The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI)—the foremost Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Africa is seeking a strategic, target-driven, and highly resourceful Senior Manager, Programs & Facilities to join its Programs and Facilities Department.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for marketing and optimizing the commercial use of the Chamber’s marquee facilities, ensuring operational efficiency, superior client experience, and revenue growth.
The role also requires providing strategic support to the Head of Department on key business mandates, departmental planning, and project execution.
This position is suited to a seasoned professional with strong leadership capabilities, excellent marketing acumen, superior facility management skills, and a proven record of delivering results in a dynamic environment.
Core Objectives of the Role:
Maximize revenue from the Chamber’s marquee facilities through aggressive marketing and strategic business development.
Support smooth, efficient, and professional management of all facilities under the Department.
Maintain world-class facility standards that support the Chamber’s reputation and operational excellence.
Support the Head of Department in executing strategic departmental initiatives, special projects, and business mandates.
Enhance client satisfaction and build long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Business Development of Events.
Develop and execute a robust marketing strategy to promote and increase patronage of the Chamber’s marquee facilities.
Conduct regular market research to identify trends, competitors, and opportunities for improved positioning.
Drive aggressive business engagement with corporate organizations, event planners, industry associations, NGOs, government agencies, and private clients.
Prepare and deliver compelling marketing proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects and ensure high conversion rates.
Administrative / Management Support:
Support daily administrative duties to ensure efficient, safe, and professional service delivery.
Supervise Facility Personnel and ensure operational discipline, excellent customer service, and adherence to facility protocols.
Ensure timely setup for events, seamless operational flow, and post-event evaluations.
Revenue Generation & Financial Accountability
Prepare annual revenue projections and meet agreed sales targets for facility rentals.
Monitor income, expenditure, and cost-optimization strategies within the department.
Prepare periodic financial and operational performance reports for management.
Ensure strict accountability, documentation, and transparency in all revenue-related processes.
Strategic Support & Departmental Mandates:
Assist the Head of Department in planning and implementing strategic initiatives, projects, and departmental objectives.
Contribute to policy formulation, operational frameworks, and continuous improvement programs.
Support high-level stakeholder management and represent the department at key meetings when required.
Provide technical and administrative input on organizational events, major projects, and interdepartmental collaborations.
Client Relationship & Stakeholder Engagement:
Maintain strong, positive relationships with clients, partners, vendors, and service providers.
Lead client engagement from booking to event completion, ensuring a seamless experience.
Resolve complaints promptly and professionally to maintain high client satisfaction levels.
Develop customer service enhancement initiatives and track client feedback for continuous improvement.
Compliance, Documentation & Reporting:
Ensure compliance with all facility guidelines, safety regulations, and Chamber policies.
Maintain updated records of bookings, event schedules, service contracts, and facility documentation.
Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly departmental activity reports.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Estate Management, Business Administration, Facility Management, Marketing, Hospitality Management, Engineering or related fields**.
8 - 10 years relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within facility management, hospitality, marketing, events management, or related environments.
Proven experience in business development, sales, and facility operations management**.
