Phemotron Systems is seeking a talented and passionate NYSC member or recent graduate in Electrical / Electronics / Computer / Systems / Physics Engineering with baseline experience in AI / Machine Learning systems to join our team in developing our flagship AI-MotherBox-1 Satellite Mission and Delta-SkySentinel drone system.
The AI-MotherBox-1 is a revolutionary satellite that will utilize cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) technology to perform a variety of tasks, including Earth observation, scientific research, combined laser and RF communications.

About the Role
As a Satellite & Aerospace Engineering Associate you will be responsible for supporting the technical, business and operational aspects of the AI-MotherBox-1 satellite and drone development. This includes:
Satellite Development:
Design and implement the AI engine architecture using cutting-edge AI and machine learning frameworks and libraries.
Develop core functionalities required for the AI engine, including learning algorithms, data processing, and decision-making capabilities.
Integrate the AI engine with the satellite's software and hardware systems.
Ensure code quality and maintainability through best practices and code documentation.
Testing:
Design and execute comprehensive test cases to verify the functionality, performance, and reliability of the AI engine.
Collaborate with the testing team to ensure the AI engine meets all mission requirements.
Space Qualification:
Understand and implement space-grade development processes and standards to ensure the AI engine's robustness and resilience in harsh space environments.
Work with the space qualification team to conduct necessary environmental testing and analysis.
Mission Operation and Data Processing:
Support the launch and operation of the AI-MotherBox-1 satellite.
Monitor the performance of the AI engine and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
Develop scripts and tools for processing and analyzing data collected by the AI engine.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience) with verifiable hands-on experience on electronics, computer, artificial intelligence projects; developing and deploying AI and machine learning applications.
Strong understanding of fundamental AI and machine learning algorithms and techniques (e.g., deep learning, reinforcement learning).
Expertise in one or more popular AI and machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch). Proficient in object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Python, C++).
Experience with software development best practices, including version control, unit testing, and code documentation.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Strong interest in space exploration and a passion for utilizing technology for positive impact.
