Our Client - ASC International is seeking to recruit qualified candidates for the below position:
Plan and supervise the programmed activities of the rig in the safest and most cost effective manner, in line with well programme and all approved standards.
Responsible for maintaining Goal Zero at the rig and camp sites, including general HSE improvements UA/UC and routine rig inspections.
Deliver planned wells on budget, on schedule and to the specified quality indicators.
Make comments and suggestions on draft well programs.
Physically supervise at the rig-floor, pressure tests, BOP tests, coring, cementation, down-hole-motor orientation, and all non-routine but critical operations as specified in the Drilling Procedure and HPHT Manuals.
Develop and implement plans to minimise "invisible lost time" and improve flat times.
Monitor the drilling contractor to ensure that the PMS requirements of the rig are strictly adhered to.
Organise and ensure that toolbox talks and risk assessments / JHAs are conducted for all critical operations on the rig.
Promptly report all daily well construction activities in EDM-OpenWells. In addition promptly prepare and submit to base the following reports as appropriate: HSE, inspections, BOP tests, drills, DMR, MTV, rental equipment reports, etc.
Ensure correct and up to date cost reporting/VOWD of contract services.
Timely ordering, follow up and checking of permanently installed equipment and call out of service companies as required.
Provide wellsite leadership in the event of an emergency (eg kick, blow-out, loss of circulation, CASHES incidents, etc.).
In the event of an incident, carry out initial incident investigation and supply all relevant information to the SDE.
Return all surplus tools/materials to Movables and/or Materials yard with the appropriate documentation and ensure the timely return of rented tools and equipment to the service company.
Confirm that the next location is ready to receive the rig and initial supplies for the next well are available. Inspect the wellhead of the next well and report observations as applicable.
Responsible for the practical and theoretical coaching and training of national ADSV and DSV staff.
Create and support an 'enabling environment' on the rig site for well delivery.
Managing the HSE responsibilities of the drilling and service contractors.
Managing many well site staff with diverse backgrounds including community workers, low skilled workers and up and coming local contractors
Delivering TQ performance in a challenging environment
Managing well site operational risks and uncertainties
Job Requirements
Professional engineer with a degree or qualification in a relevant engineering or science discipline.
Minimum of 10 years experience in WE with at least 5 years as a DSV.
Good supervisory skills, with sound knowledge of well control techniques and drilling operations practices
Good analytical, communication and writing skills, with PC fluency and familiarity with drilling engineering software. Conversant with relevant software (eg Well Plan for Windows, Compass) and Technical Limit Drilling Philosophy.
Proficient in English language, both in speech and in writing.
Possess Company R1, R2 and valid IWCF certificates (Company staff). Valid IWCF certificates for consultant staff.
