Job Overview

This role involves managing the sales team, building strategic relationships, developing market penetration strategies, and ensuring profitability while aligning with the company’s overall objectives.
You will manage sales by developing business plans, setting targets, adopting strategies to penetrate the assigned territory, start and close sales and co-ordinate other administrative functions.
The Sales Manager will lead the branch’s sales operations, driving the growth of our solar products and services sales to engage C-Suite Executives, heads of parastatals, directors of government bodies, senior executives and boards of directors, with the sole aim of building relationships and driving corporate sales.
Job Description
Overseeing the business operations in Abuja by driving the sales of our appliances, solar solutions for homes and businesses, enterprise business solutions, projects and other customized systems.
Identify, engage, and manage relationships with corporate clients
Achieving growth and hitting sales targets on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Oversee lead generation, bidding, and closing of high-value deals.
Monitor competitor activities and market trends to identify new opportunities.
Recruiting, training, and supporting sales representatives, as well as conducting regular performance appraisals.
Managing internal and external stakeholder relations and negotiating contracts.
Track sales metrics, customer feedback, and market insights to improve sales approaches.
Presenting product demonstrations to prospective clients.
Initiate large scale engagements with communities, co-operatives, associations and government agencies to drive enterprise-based transactions.
Managing the sales process through specific software programs and initiate ways to improve the mode of operations.
Maintaining a regular KYC information update to drive customer retainership.
Carry out energy audits at customer locations.
Building and maintaining a CRM database by logging all sales activities in the company’s repository.
Coordinating sales efforts with team members and other departments.
Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.
Handling customer questions, objections, inquiries, and complaints.
Preparing and sending quotes and proposals.
Participating in sales team meetings remotely and physically.
Requirements and Skills
HND or BSc Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or any relevant field;
Relevant sales certifications and professional sales training will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 3 years experience in a sales managerial role;
Sales background in the solar industry is compulsory.
Excellent leadership and team management skills;
Proven track record of successfully meeting sales targets;
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office suite and CRM applications;
Exceptional networking and relationship-building skills;
Excellent written and oral communication skills;
Skilled in negotiation and dealing with complaints as well as objections;
Presentation and analytical skills;
Ability to analyze sales data.
