Job Summary
The HR/Operations Officer (Real Estate Industry) supports the smooth functioning of the company by handling end-to-end human resources activities and ensuring efficient day-to-day operations across all real estate projects and departments.
The role combines HR management, administrative coordination, operations oversight, and staff performance support to help the company deliver excellent customer service and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Management:
Assist in developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and compliance systems.
Coordinate recruitment processes: job postings, shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding.
Maintain employee records, HR databases, and documentation.
Oversee attendance, leave management, and shift/roster planning.
Support employee performance management and appraisal processes.
Facilitate staff training, development programs, and capacity-building initiatives.
Handle employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
Administer payroll inputs, benefits, and statutory deductions in collaboration with Accounts.
Ensure compliance with labour laws, health & safety standards, and internal HR policies.
Operations & Administrative Support:
Coordinate daily operational activities to ensure the smooth running of company offices and field operations.
Support the operations team in managing real estate projects, client documentation, and property records.
Monitor project timelines, task completion, and operational deliverables.
Manage office supplies, facility maintenance, and vendor relations.
Oversee proper documentation for property sales, leases, inspections, and client paperwork.
Prepare operational reports, meeting minutes, and documentation for management review.
Client & Stakeholder Coordination:
Liaise with clients, agents, surveyors, contractors, and other stakeholders as required.
Support customer service by addressing client inquiries and ensuring timely escalation.
Assist in coordinating property viewings, inspections, and site visit logistics.
Help ensure excellent customer experience at all touchpoints.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure adherence to real estate regulatory requirements and internal operational standards.
Maintain accurate records of contracts, agreements, and compliance documentation.
Track licenses, permits, renewals, and regulatory updates.
Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare HR and operations reports for management review (attendance, productivity, recruitment, project status, etc.).
Assist in budgeting, cost control, and expense tracking related to operations.
Maintain organized files for HR and operational documents.
Job Requirements
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related field.
2–5 years’ experience in HR, operations, or administrative roles.
At least 3 years of Experience in the real estate industry.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of HR processes, Nigerian Labour Law, and employee relations.
Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking ability.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HR/Operations software.
Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with professionalism.
Attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.
